HEADLINES

BCI 'E'lites go marching on after a whitewash of second placed Top Spot. Spot ON (Sneinton) have a second win even after losing the first 2 frames. BCI 'B' have a good away win at Carlton LC.

Division 1
In the battle of the top two it was BCi 'E'lites who ran out winners by a mile. These two meet in next weeks cup semi-final, although at a different venue from this weeks match. Jason Bettridge winning the first frame by 80-24 over Dave Milner gave BCI 'E'lites the perfect start. James Moore then taking the second frame by 81-32 against Mick Walker put them further ahead. Jon "8pints" Mason was sober enough to have a massive 77-5 victoy over Chris Needham to make it 3-0. Captain Kwok Yip had a 36 break in beating Steve Needham by 60-35 to complete the whitewash.
Sherwood SC 'A' went away to SE Derbyshire SC and after a delayed start came away with a 4-1 win to move them up to third. Spot On (Hucknall) in not having a game drop to fourth.
City Hospital LC stay in fifth place despite a 3-2 defeat at Spot On (Sneinton). The first two frame went to City Hospital LC with Gaz Morrison taking the first by 58-42 against Ant Gilman. Captain Paul Wrathal took the second frame with a 55-45 win over Mick O'Neill to put City hospital two up. Mick McMillan pulled a frame back with a 74-33 win over Glen Price. Rob"i've won one at last" "pud" Stansfield made it 2-2 with a 53-30 win over Malc. Spot On (Sneinton) taking the extra point on aggregate scores, but stiill leaving Spot On (Sneinton) in eighth place.
Sixth placed Carlton LC were beaten 4-1 by seventh placed BCI'B'. Neil Elliott taking frame 1 by 82-30 against Danny DiFolco. Toby Irons winning frame 2 by 67-35 over Bob Walker made it 2-0. Mick Salmon had a 56-39 win over Steve Butler to make it 3-0. It was left to Bob Wright to salvage a point for Carlton LC , but only just in a close frame against Ian Dawson he ran out 40-27 winner.
