Pegasus get back to winning ways with a solid win over Mapperley with Wayne Martin making a 96 break.
Pegasus not quite at full strength with Chris Brooks and Jamie Mathers absent, were still strong enough to defeat a battling Mapperley Community Centre side.

Pegasus impressed at home with a 3-1 win and managed a draw at Mapperley 2-2.

At Pegasus (3-1):
Wayne Martin (96 Break) v Don Merry
Martin making a good 96 break, only missing the last tricky red with 131 at his mercy.

Danny Castel-Nuovo 96 v Doug Bough 11
Caste-Nuovo never giving Bough a chance in this frame with some consistent scoring from the Pegasus man, running out
a convincing winner.

James Booth v  Chris Starr
Starr controlled the majority of the frame by getting 41 points in front of the luckless Booth.
A close finish though as Booth obtained the snookers he required to have a chance of winning the frame.
It was not to be though as Starr potted a great brown and blue to squeeze this one away from the Pegasus player.

Martin/Catel-Nuovo v Merry/Starr
The undefeated Pegasus pairing showing too much strength and depth here, running into and early 45 point lead before
the Mapperley boys came back at them. Castel-Nuovo impressing in this frame as he took control once more to put the game and home match out of reach 3-1.

Scores from Mapperley (2-2):

Nav Hussain 99-18   Geoff Merry
Zeb Ahmed   67-33  Chris Wright
Mike Langdon   lost on the black to Andy Carnell
Zeb & Nav   31-88   Geoff & Chris

Many thanks to Steve "The Force" Booth - that £30 an hour coaching is working :-)

Congratulations wayne for a magnificent 96 break. You have set the standards, im now sure that someone will hit a century break come end of season. Good standard for the nhsl this season, im sure with more publicity we can get snooker back the way it was in the 90's !!!!

Yes Dan, I think if I saw you looking at my bottom whilst I was taking a shot, I would probably miss it too!

Dan, I'll ask Mike if I can play at the opposite venue to you in future - you are worrying me.

If "The Force" hears about this you may be out of the circle of trust :-)

Thanks for the kind comments mate - you had 96 before we played the match, so I was only trying to match your feat from earlier on.

You didn't miss a great deal last night yourself - very solid play matey.

Yes Dan, played yesterday at spot on club with Yas Abbas. Hit a 98 a break and then missed an easy blue in the middle bag (half ball off the spot) and would have gone to hit at 116 clearence as the pink and black were at my mercy. In the same match hit a 68, so wayne'z break is under my radar, but will be tough to beat. Im happy wayne has set the standard and is always a pleasure to see someone else make a high break....  ;)

yes . . i will just add to the comments wayne . . .great break the 96,shame you didn't get the century,i've only ever had one century made against me a magnificent 109,back in the late 90's,but i thoroughly enjoyed watching my opponents face as he was compiling it,you could see the nerves, nice 1 mate anyway!!
