Handicap Singles: Neil Elliot 1-2 Sean Croft

The first player through to the quarter finals is SEAN CROFT, Has he beat the great Neil Elliot runner up of last years nazareth house division 1?
(played on friday 15th january 2010)

Frame 1:
First frame Elliot won on the black ball with a great come back in the frame as he was 20 behind to clear all the colours apart from the black which he missed   both fighting for black ball frame Neil finished what he started and potted the black to win frame 1.

Frame 2:
Croft with a 28 start against Neil Elliot which was only needed in frame 1 and 3 Croft was about 40 in front with 27 remaining, Neil is one true fighter he went on snookering me for about 15-20 minutes but Croft was to strong and cleared yellow up to pink, Croft dealt with Neil very well in frame 2 Croft winning 78-21.

Frame 3:
Elliot and Croft both played well in frame three Croft with a 28 start (hdcp) Croft made a small break of 16 to put him 42 in front but Neil also made small breaks of 24 and 18 to get back in the frame but croft managed to get 20 odd in front again Neil than made another 18 break with other odd points to make us both just about level with just blue, pink and black left on the table Croft then potted the blue and Elliot potted the pink to make it all level at 64-64 and Elliot was left with a VERY VERY VERY fine cut on the black ball to the left black ball pocket and it rattled the jaws which left the black on the bag the cue ball tied to the other side of the tables cushion, Croft could only rely on his cueing and slamed the black ball in to take frame three.    

Neil you are a great player mate i'm just sorry you had to go out on a black ball game you should of won.

It's good to see at least someone is flying the flag for our division in the singles knockouts. :welldone:

My new snooker glasses have arrived.  I expect I'll be the butt of all jokes at Pegasus for a bit, especially if it takes me a bit of time to get used to playing in them.  Oh well, it will be nice to be able to see the balls properly again.

I'm playing your team mate Rob tonight in the singles league, so I'll play at least 1 frame in the specs and see how it goes.

glad to hear your ok danny,
well i need to make division two sound not so bad and that we can be just as competative as division 1 and premire division players
not saying were as good as them though lol  :laugh: not rearly its just luck mate.
And i wish you good luck tonight the bottom half of the table need someone to take points from rob and paul so we can stand a chance  :laugh: you can do it danny boy.

It sure is tricky mate, but with your handicap if you play like you did against me, there no stopping you. You scored well and gave nothing away. I said it then, you are a good bet if u keep it tight. Good luck
