Best of 3 pairs match. With only a 14 point frame start against the much fancied pair from Pegasus, the first frame saw a good battle of safety exchanges between all four players.  Jason went in off (twice) to give Nav an open table, he went for a long red and fluked it into the middle pocket. What duly followed was an impressive 39 break to seal the first frame.  Into the second frame, more solid snooker and great safety from all four players, but, in a close frame the Pegasus pair opened up a slender 21 point lead, with only 22 points left on the table a missed chance from Zeb let in Jason to clear up and level the match 1-1. Into the decider the Pegasus pair had the advantage with the break and a quality one from Nav leaving Jay on the bulk cushion and in deep trouble, he found a path through the reds and back to safety. More great play followed, both teams having chances but not really taking them until Nav had a good chance only to squander position on 16. He then let in Jay to knock in a cracking 29 break, more great snooker came but with the pair from Pegasus 36 behind and only one red left it could have been a close finish.  Steven knocked in a cracking long red followed by the  black and then played a good safety shot. Credit to Nav and Zeb who battled on for snookers but the Oakleigh pair wrapped up the frame 89-38 winners. 2-1 to the Oakleigh duo. Into the hat for the next round.

Well played Nav and Zeb.

A match full of quality which could of gone either way.
