Handicap Singles: Ross Wilkin 2-1 Jamie Mathers

All 3 frames were close run in this match. Both players missed some easy chances to make a decent break with the highest coming from Jamie of 21. I managed to take the first frame by clearing an easy blue,pink and black. Jamie took the next in a similar fashion by taking the frame on the last pink. In the decider I was beginning to clear the colours well, until I made a rash awful safety on the green, leaving it near the pocket for Jamie. I assumed I was finished and he duly went on to clear the remaining colours until he missed the black off the spot!! It was left over the pocket and even I couldnt miss it!! He did say it may have jumped off the spot or a kick to be fair. Hard luck Jamie and I have to say, excellent table manners and sportsmanship!! I'm sure I wouldve reacted a lot worse!!
