breaks by sean 33,30,25,23,22.

Frame one: Croft gaining a 37 point lead after his first break of the match made by croft was 30. Bell then played some unique safety and snookers leaving croft tied tight behind the bulk colours making croft foul or leaving bell on in the first frame croft gave bell 24 points in fouls making croft lose the first frame on the black ball.........

Frame two: Bell played again tight safety leaving croft nothing but then Bell left Croft along red, croft potted the long red and was able to make a 25 break losing postion on the next black so then played it safe but Bell had alot of luck on the night and fluked alot of balls in this frame and snatched this frame also......... :bravo:

Frame three: There was alot of safety in this frame by both players but Bell lived up to his reputation in this frame snookering croft every chance he got he potted a red and rolled the cue ball up to either the yellow, green or brown  making it very hard for croft to get out of but croft did manage to make a 23 break but Bell won the frame by 40 points in the end....... :bravo:

Frame four: was very close croft having a 23 break at the begining made no differance Bell was just 5 ahead of croft and rearly just wanted this frame i did not want to lose four because i was playing well but bell's game play was no match for croft bell's safety to high a standard for croft but right towards the end croft nocked 33 break and on the next red i had to go for a long red with a lot of top spin and it rattled the pocket and the cue ball landed nicely on the black but the break ended there...
And then on the colours Bell the more expirenced player played some brillant snookers and great safety took us both to the black ball ''AGAIN'' Croft then went for the risky black to miss it  then ''bell the safety officer'' smashed the black in.

Well done Paul.

I can't believe you played that well (so many breaks) and lost 4-0...bit hash!.  Perhaps a lesson in the finer skills of snooker from the 'safety Officer' me thinks....as 'the force' would say ....."Snooker is not all about breaks"

Still take heart mate, sounds like all that practice is paying off...I Can't remember the last time i made that many breaks in a four frame match so well done  :bravo:

Still you learn more from your losses than your wins and keep your chin up as with that sort of scoring the result would be reversed against most players.

Cheers Mike as you could guess i am devastated, i was on form and i lost 4-0, it should of at least been 2-2. Looks like safety won him the match. As you said it's not all about potting, i agree there lol, just gotta keep practising.

I mean to black ball games COME ON........  Well play paul.

:thx: Sean

Sean - you have improved so much but as Mike suggests there are other skills that you need to win at this very unforgiving game.

Mr Bell is a master tactician with a great safety game and his long potting is something else.
I witnessed him escape from all sorts of situations in the summer league and he finished 4th in the averages table - he doesn't lose very often.

I only wish he did lessons - I need a few from him!!!!!

Unlucky Sean!

Wayne & Mike are spot on matey! You've improved leaps and bounds in such a short space of time! But like we all know there is no substitute for experience matey! Your opponent Mr Safety officer Bell is a very experienced player applying his "Super Elites" experience to over come your much improved game!

I think it's safe to say it has improved your game and approach playing at Bci and some of the very experienced players here! It's true to say you never stop learning and there's always room for improvement in everyones game no matter how good they are! The 7 times World champion Stephen Hendry once said "The more you
play the better you get, the better you get the more you'll enjoy playing, and the more you enjoy the game the more you'll want to play!" too true..!

keep up the great work Sean! My Super Elites team are more than happy to give you some great pointers!

Paul is a great match player.  He beat me in the Singles Championship through playing better match play.  I was potting pretty well and I thought I could simply out-pot him but I neglected the tactical side and it cost me the match.

The problem I find is that when I am playing well I just want to be potting balls and I don't want to get bogged down with safety exchanges.  The trouble with this approach is that the experienced match players will then play you safe all the more because they know it will frustrate you and encourage you to take risks.  They then capitalize on the chances you leave them and can beat you even though you feel you have played better than them.

Great game isn't it!
