Steve,

Semi-finals are best of 5. Final is best of 7.

Semi-finals and final will be held at neutral venues (TBA).  The semis may have been held at BCI last year because BCI sponsored the championship, however BCI withdrew its sponsorship this season so the matches will not necessarily be held there.  It also depends if there is a BCI player involved of course.

The NBSA committee meeting is tonight so I will raise your queries regarding venues and match duration.

Steve, I just been thinking about you going to that meeting tonight and really am amazed at how much of your personal time you give up for nottingham snooker. I have concluded that your a really, really nice guy and would take pleasure in treating you and the others to a nice Asian meal at the end of the season. I, for one, do apprecite all the "unseen" time that you give up and could spend with your family. Just a thank you from me.

Bash

Hopefully, I'll ask Ali to be the waiter and it should be a good night.

You are correct, he beat Chris Brooks 4-3 at BCI. Dave Jobling beat Chris Winter 4-2 in the other semi at BCI.  Jason beat Dave 4-2 in the final at BCI.

However, we changed a few rules at the start of this season and one of them was to reduce the semis to 5 frames.  I'm not sure why and it may just have been an oversight.  Like I said, we will discuss it tonight and there's nothing to stop us changing things around.

Thanks for the offer of a meal.  I love Chicken Tikka Massala.

Pity about that Steve, no worries.
Perhaps next year's notts am can be best of 7  throughout, who know.

Cheers for putting it to the committe anyway.

Thanks
