SEMI-FINAL 2

Jim Harrison beat Richard Wheelhouse in a high quality semi-final at Spot On, Mansfield Woodhouse. Richard made a terrific 75 break to win one frame but Jim managed to win the other three for a 3-1 victory that sets up a final clash with this season's Notts Amateur champion Andrew Diacopoulos.

SEMI-FINAL 1

Andrew Diacopoulos is through to the final of this season's tournament thanks to a 3-1 victory over Ben Monk. Andrew led 2-0 with the help of a 48 break in the second frame, but Ben won the third frame to make it 2-1. Ben then went 40 points ahead in the next frame, but Andrew fought back to take it to the colours. An error from Ben on the blue allowed Andrew to pot blue and pink to take frame and match.

Open Singles Snooker Championship

Audie Miller made a nice 33 clearance in the opening frame to take a 1-0 lead against Andrew Diacopoulos. He then went 46 points ahead in the second frame but Andrew managed to claw his way back into the frame and then clear the colours to pinch it and level the match at 1-1. Two scrappy frames followed and it was Andrew who nicked them both to secure a 3-1 victory that puts him in the semi-finals.

Ben Monk received a walkover in the last quarter-final tie, because his opponent Nav Hussain was unable to make the agreed date.

Defending champion Wayne Martin was in fine form as he reeled off breaks of 47,45,40,38,35 and 33 to defeat Steve D'Arcy 3-0 and secure his place in the final of this year's tournament.
