The good fortune that got us to the final did not desert us tonight as we had a few flukes when it mattered.  I played pretty well too, which helped, making breaks of 14 and 18 in the first frame and a 44 in the second.  My partner struggled a little tonight, but if it wasn't for him we would never have made it to the final.  Adam and Matt never really got going as they found themselves playing catch-up quite quickly in both frames, which only added to the pressure (in addition to the TV lights and huge audience!).

Absolutely delighted that we have won a trophy, particularly as it's our first season playing together.

Now I've just got to hope that the handicap committee don't come down too hard on us next season.......

Well played guys on your success.  Just looking back at your run to the final and what a superb run it was....so a much deserved title.

1st round beat Mick Salton & Garreth Evans
2nd round beat Ryan Cooper & Shaun Roe
3rd round beat Jason Bettridge & Tony Collins
semi's beat Gary Spencer & James Notman

what do you reckon Wayne, mark them down to scratch next season?  ;)

Well done

Mike
