MARTIN FALLS AT FINAL HURDLE TO HAND TITLE TO HUSSAIN
Singles League
Wayne Martin missed out on the Premier Division title after defeat in his final match of the season against Sherwood?s Lee Crombie. Crombie, who has finished the season strongly, inflicted the 3-1 defeat which meant that the title was won by just one point by Nav Hussain with Gary Spencer finishing in the runners-up spot. Neil Elliott won the Division One title in style with a superb 4-0 rout against Malc Belshaw to pip Mike Langdon on frame difference who had lead for most of the season. There was also much drama in Division Two with the final result of the season deciding the outcome of the title. BCI?s Shaun Parkinson could only watch on as Pegasus youngster Eric Towle and Spider Wilkinson played out the final match with both players hoping to pip Parkinson to the title. Towle won the match 3-1 which was enough to bag second spot but not enough to leapfrog Parkinson who won the title on frame difference.

Other News
Just like to say a big thank-you to all the players who have taken part in this seasons individual and pairs competitions. The new NHSL Singles leagues have been a huge success and with two of the titles being decided on frame difference and the Premier Division by just one point it?s certainly been competitive and very exciting. Of course not everyone can be involved in the silverware shake-up and therefore I would like to offer an extra big thanks to all the other players who kept on battling hard to the very end?.you are the true stars of the league!!!
Good luck to Jamie, Barry, Steve, Matt Ellis, Adam and Matt Savage on their upcoming finals.
