Stadium ran out comfortable winners, and but for an in off on the final black in the final frame they would have completed a whitewash against an unlucky Oakleigh side.
Dave Buckley standing in for Ross Wilkin got Stadium off to a good start with some solid potting against Colin Tutin to take the frame.
Ryan Cooper then had some awful luck against Pete Gormley who is Stadiums on form player and seems to be relishing this new format by making it 2-0 to Stadium.
Matt Ellis then recorded the joint highest break of 15 against Adam Robinson and could have been more if he hadn't gone in off after potting the yellow. Adam left Matt a simple pink which he duly despatched to make it 3-0.
Dave Buckley then sneaked a very close frame against Colin to clinch victory on the night for Stadium.
Pete then found his potting form making a 15 break and effectively wrapped up the frame before the colours leaving Ryan needing 40 from the final 27 points on offer, to make it 5-0.
Matt then slipped up in the final frame missing a few crucial pots against Adam who took advantage to go ahead with Matt needing blue pink and black to win. Matt potted blue and pink to take it to the black ball. Adam then left the black near the middle pocket and Matt had a simple straight shot for 7-0 - but potted the black and then watched in anger as he rolled in after it to lose the frame.
Final score 5-1 to Stadium making it 6-1 with the high break.
Dave Buckley 2-0 Colin Tutin
Pete Gormley 2-0 Ryan Cooper
Matt Ellis 1-1 Adam Robinson
I've given the break point to you Matt seeing as you got your 15 before Pete got his.
