Stadium Sharks continued their good form with a 4-3 home win against Arnold Aces. Barry Stark got off to a good start in the first frame against James Notman with a 24 break, but Notman fought back with an 18 break and looked the favourite. Stark eventually potted a tough black to win the frame by one point and put the Sharks 1-0 ahead. In the second frame Notman raised his game, making a 16 break on the way to a 51-13 victory.
Daniel Di Folco defeated Kirk Wesselby 2-0 in the next game. The first frame was very close but the Sharks player finished well to take it 39-34. In the second frame Wesselby was extremely unlucky, going in-off no less than three times and Di Folco punished him, winning the frame 37-14.
In the final game John Fountain faced an easy pot on the pink to take the first frame but he missed it and Steve Butler potted pink and black to pinch it 33-25. With just one frame remaining it was looking good for the Sharks as they were 4-1 ahead and on course to secure the break point thanks to Stark's run of 24 in the opening frame of the match. However, Butler played a poor attempt at the first red which left Fountain in the balls and the Aces player made a terrific five red, four black and one pink break of 39 which left Butler needing a snooker. A shell-shocked Butler conceded with all the colours remaining.
Barry Stark (24) 1-1 James Notman
Daniel Di Folco 2-0 Kirk Wesselby
