Last night at Oakleigh the following match took place in the singles league. A tough snooker battle ensued between similar players, having played each other in league matches quite a few times in the past few years. Frame 1 a couple of fouls by Paul gave the advantage to the Steven but during a very tight tactical battle he fought back to take the first frame with a score of 55 - 65. Frame 2 again Steven took of to an early lead and again Paul with his tactical knowledge and positional play came back to take the second frame 41 - 70. Frame 3 fortunes reversed this frame the early scores made by Steven capitalizing on small errors by Paul score 83 - 22. Last frame much like the first two with the home player taking the lead only for the visitor to chip and chip away until the match was won 40-67. After over two hours of strategic battling the final frame score was Steven Roe 1 Paul Bell 3. And enjoyed by both players.

:bravo:

Nice report Steve.  Welcome to the forum.  It's great to hear from an Oakleigh lad.  I'm sure you will climb up the table soon!

Well played again Paul.  I knew you were going to be tough to beat.  I've almost never had as few clear cut chances as our match last week (Bell 3-1 Norton).
