Title: BCI Super Elites 6-2 Stadium Leisure (26/01/10)
Post by: Kwok Yip on 27 January 2010
Draw specialists "The Ice Stadium!" has proven to be a very slipery venue for many Top teams! Cpt Kwok's Early Hazard Warning for Extra Gritty performance required by his team Super Elites!!!! Caution Skating on thin ice!!!

Action at the Bci Snooker Centre!!!
Unfortunatly I left the actual score sheet at the club, however I do know the Score and I will forward the actual frame scores Asap!
League leaders Bci Super Elites showed Championship quality with a 4-0 win at Home! Frames scores to be added shortly!!!!!

The action Away at the "Ice Stadium!"

It was a different story away at the slipery ice Stadium venue!

Barry Stark 93 v James Moore 15
Frame One, Two Top players in action! Good Early safety exchange by both players lead to good scoring chances for both players! Both players far from their best missing easy chances by their own very high standards. Barry finally stringing a few balls togther with 34 & 27 to take the opening frame to put the home side one up!

Ross Wilkin 44 V Cpt Kwok Yippee 51
Cpt Kwok opened up a quick early lead in this frame with a good timed "mini 22 break!" Ross responded well with some good potting. Cpt Kwok kept edging away, some near misses proving to be very costly rattling and left on which Ross did well hitting back reducing the scores taking the frame down to the very final black! Black ball played up and down the table with some good exchanges untill Lucky Cpt Kwok slots in the final black to level at 1-1!

Peter Gormley 35 v Jonathan Mason 66
An in form Peter Gromley "Not!" was up against the half sober Mason! Both players missing chances and gifting each other points with generous number of in off's! "The Nhsl v institutes charity match is over lads!" a strange frame neither player was taking advantage untill further bad luck for Joker Peter in off proving costly as 8 pints manage to stagger over the line to put the visitors 2-1 ahead!

Barry/Ross 60 v James/Paul Bell 56
The good news had just been filtered through that the Bci Super Elites had done the bizz at home so a more casual approach by the Bci pairing! It was a pairs match played in great spirit James and Safety officer with the early lead, but it was some good potting by Barry and Ross with Barry taking the frame on the black!

Final score on the night Bci Super Elites 6, Ice Stadium 2!

Well played lads :bravo:

Bci frame scores and report to be added shortly............!

I don't know the frame scores either Kwok but no doubt you will add them later to make us feel even worse!

I do know that Jason Bettridge beat Bob Walker in frame 1.

Matt Hearson-Ellis lost on the black to Neil Elliott (who potted some great balls all night) in frame 2.

I got stuffed by Tony Collins in frame 3 - I kept missing easy balls and leaving him in.

In the pairs Bettridge and Elliott beat Hearson-Ellis and Walker to make it 4-0 to BCI.

Well done lads.

Steve - Waiting for the club to open for them vital Nhsl "Stats!"  ;)

Nice Photo's Steve you just need some music now

A good home result for the Stadium team!
But a jolly good "Spanking" away from home mentioning no names "STEVE!"

No Seriously I can see why you guys have been and can be a serious danger to all teams on the night! A good tough team not to be under estimated!!! So well done and hard luck lads  :bravo: :bravo:

A Very dangerous and slipery venu the "Ice Stadium!" Cpt Kwoks happy with the Two great results against the slipery Stadium,  Sorry for
reminding you but for the interest of the readers  "Steve look away now...!" 7-1! & 6-2! An improvement matey  ;)

It was great to see your reaction Steve when Barry potted the final black and you thought it was a draw "where was the camera then!"
   "Quality Matey!"

don't you hate it when that happens.

Alan C came back from Pegasus last night so i asked him the score to which he replied "3-1".  I said "what to us" to which he nodded yes (hearing not what it was eh Alan...or perhaps it's mine   )

Anyway there's me thinking we've just won 6-2 only to find out it was in fact a draw.  Having said that the final pairs frame was very tight but thinking we had already won allowed us to see out the frame feeling no pressure which may have helped.

Still hopefully we won't have this problem next season if we move to the proposed 3 man team scenario.

Hard luck Mike and the mighty Pegasus team! IF I had to be honest I was hoping Pegasus A, would live up to their name and we'll all see the return of the "Flying Horse!" with a sparkling performance we all know you guys are more than capable of!!!

Still Beeston are not up there by luck, they are a very tough nut to crack! Sounded like you threw the job lot at them yesterday Mike, I guess we'll have to do the same next week but with "kitchen sink too!"

Looking forward to the challenge!!! That's what we all play snooker for the thrill of being pushed to the limit brings out the best in you ;)

Was hoping it'll be a tight 3 horse race to the finish, I guess you never know still anything can happen in this weird and wonderful game Never say Never! But if it does turn out to be a 2horse race we could do with borrowing your Pegasus wings to extend our lead and fly to the finishing line!!! "Come on Jonathan! 8 Pints are waiting for you at the finising line!" :drink:   :england:

RESULTS FROM THE BCI!!!

1) Jason Bettridge 57 v Bob Walker 33
Jason got the home side off to a great start with a good victory over a dangerous Bob, to put the home hide one frame up!

2) Neil Elliott 46 v Matt Ellis 34
The 100% man Neil Elliott kept yet another clean sheet with a close victory over Matt Ellis who I was told potting like a demon! "Machine Gun Matt!" took the frame right down to the final black which the 100% took to claim victory & put the home side 2 frames up!

3) Tony Collins 59 v Steve Butler 14

"Top Cat" Tony Collins was back in action against the very talented Who else..... Mr Steve Butler!!! I was told my the man himself Mr Butler  he got a good "Spanking over the table away from home!" Wow!!! "Where was the camera for that one Steve!!" apparently in Mr Butlers defence he was having a bad game missing and sticking things up for sharp shooting Tony to take advantage of him!!! Tony going on strong to win the third frame to put the home side 3frames to the good!
The scores Wasn't that bad matey ;).

I think your mistakes always seem to be highlited under such bright lights matey!!!

4) Bettridge/Elliott 58 v Walker/Ellis 31
The power pairing Jason and Neil hammered home the advantage in the final pairs frame against Bob and Machine gun Matt! To put the Super Elites 4-0 up at home base!

A Super home performance over the very "Slipery Ice Stadium Stars!"

Hard luck guys!

Always a pleasure playing you guys!

Good luck for the rest of the season!!!

Oh yes Steve,  just incase you forgot the final Scores on the night

Bci Super Elites 6, Ice Stadium Leisure 2! Cheers guys  ;)
