Title: EASB Seniors Snooker Championship 2007/08

The draw for the group stages of the EASB Seniors Snooker Championship has been made.  All of the Nottinghamshire players will compete in the northern section of the draw.

This championship will be played on a round robin basis, with games of best of five frames.  Regional qualifiers will be played initially, with sixteen players qualifying.  This will consist of the top two players in each group.

The last 16 and quarter finals will be played over the best of seven frames, the semi-finals best of nine frames, and the final over the best of eleven frames.

Malc Belshaw of Arnold Civil Defence has been drawn in group A.

John Marshall of The Peoples Hall has been drawn in group B.

Barry Stark of Stadium Leisure and Tony Hart of Arnold Civil Defence have both been drawn in group E.

Zeb Ahmed of The Peoples Hall has been drawn in group F.

Nick Pearce won the English Seniors title today at the World Snooker Academy.  He defeated John Welsh in the Final 6-4.
