This is your chance to rub shoulders with the likes of Robertson, Hendry, Selby and O'Sullivan!
THE FORMAT
First round qualifiers will take place at all Rileys clubs throughout the UK.
Each club winner will then progress to a Regional Qualifier at one of 10 Rileys clubs.
The 10 Rileys finalists will then compete at the World Snooker Academy (Sheffield) as a pre-tournament qualifier.

On the 10th July 2010 Cueball (Mansfield Road, Derby) will be holding their qualifying round for the World snooker open. Starting @ 12pm. It is FREE to enter.

Rileys has reached an agreement with World Snooker to host the regional qualifying rounds of the World Open.
The World Open is one of the major events on the snooker calendar and was formerly known as the Grand Prix. It is played in Glasgow from the 18th to the 26th of September.
The event has a new format and now allows 32 amateur players to enter at the pre-qualifying stages with the chance to make it through to the televised stages.
This year, Rileys is hosting the preliminary and regional finals at our clubs throughout the UK and our responsibility is to deliver 10 (of the 32) amateur players to the main event
What are the dates?
• Closing date for entries – 4th July 2010
• Rileys Club tournaments – 10th July Cueball
• Rileys Regional finals – 31st July or 1st August
• World Open official qualifying – 21 to 24th August
• World Open Tournament – 18th to 26th September
What is the format?
We will confirm specific details on the format of the event but as a starting point the following applies.
• Each tournament will be played as a best of five frames, no handicapping
• It is free to enter
• All entrants must be over 16.
How to enter?
Anybody who is 16 or older on or before the 1st August 2010 can enter.
Entries can be received as follows
(a) Go on line to Rileys (http://www.rileys.co.uk/worldopen) and submit their details and apply immediately
(b) Complete a written application form
