bash won 4-0 with a 56, 46 and a couple of 30's.
Malc struggled with the table but i guess that's "home advantage" for me.
cheers
Bash
Bash Maqsood 4 keith Holgate 0
It was nice to see Keith as it was the first time I seen him since 2004 when we met in the Notts Amateur final.
I played reasonably well with breaks of 48 and 37 (plus a couple of low thirties).
Keith struggled and didn't really "show up" - which I am sure he wont mind me saying.
I did get a good running of the balls which as you know always goes with the player playing better.
I am sure I caught Keith on an off day and he will give me a tougher match next time.
Bad luck Keith.
Just to say, Keith has a great snooker room with a lovely table -it's given me an incentive to have a table at my house one day !!!
P.s Match played early due to Bash being unavailable from middle of next next week till late January.
cheers all, Bash
Alright Bash, That's a great result over the Premier League Un-beaten Leader Keith. Must be music to the rest of the premier league players ears as Keith Holgate looking to run away with the title race with a superb impressive start to his all new premier league 2010/2011 campagin.
Hard Luck Keith, I'm sure "Killer Keith" Will Be Back to his (TM) winning ways very soon!!! ;)
Well done bash, great result over a solid match player (Mr Holgate).
Very well done Bash - great result.....
Cheers Jamie and nav. It keeps the league tight and more exciting. I probably go and lose to Chris winter next week as I can't stand playing the guy. He's more negatively charged than an electron. It took 10 phone calls to make a date and time with the guy. I can't stand playing the guy. Nothing against him personally just his style of play doesn't appeal to me.
I hear you got Keith tonight nav, good luck to both of you.
Also, many happy returns to you mike and hope you had a good birthday.
Cheers,
Bash
Good win bash against the dangerous mr holgate. Seems like your playing well again mate. Always good to see. You and Nav have opened up the whole league now with your wins. It's going to be a close one this season by the looks of things.
We decided to play both these matches today.
We agreed to play the premier league first - Result Bash 3 Chris 1: Breaks Bash 59,47 and 40 and Chris with a 38.
we the played the notts open and Bash scrapped through again 3-1. breaks Bash 41 and Chris with a 47.
I did apologise to Chris for some of my comments and he accepted my apologies. All the best Chris and wishing you and mrs all the best for xmas and new year and most importantly may baby winters have a safe arrival to the world in the New year.
Cheers, bash
Well played Bash...top of the league for Christmas.
Can't wait to watch this 154 break of yours...as Sean rightly says
L-E-G-E-N-D :bravo: :bravo: :bravo:
Its a 147... BRILLIANT still :bravo:
Hi Bash.
I've seen you play for several years now in the Notts 'amateur' scene and, luckily, I have only been on the end of a trouncing
only once.
I know, because of 'family' circumstances, you have been in and out of the game but I'm sure that now you appear to be more
committed you will be a prominent player in the Nottinghamshire, regional or national scenes in the years to come. (Please come
and play for Arnold).
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and you family AND all participants in the Notts Snooker scene
Alan Cunningham
Hi Alan
Thanks for your comments.
Unfortunately, I am not wishing to play for any team at present. I can only spare one evening a week and I keep that for the premier league, which is the only match practice I get and find worthwhile and enjoyable. But thanks for your invite. On any case. All the best to you and all the "veterans" at the civil defence.
Cheers. Al

Premier League Result.
Gary Spencer 1 Bash Maqsood 3
A broken hand is better than a broken heart !!!
Any, this crucial encounter was a rather scrappy affair with the balls running a little awkward in most frames.
The first frame was very scrappy with both players just taking the points available and not risking much. Gary was 7 up with brown , blue pink & black left. there was some excellent safety on the brown and bash forced the error and took brown, blue and pink to take the frame.
Next frame was a strange one. Gary making the best break of the match a nice 57. Bash continued and need 5 snookers on the colours. Bash got some excellent snooker: i think i got about 10 of which gary escaped from 5 but missed 5. bash then needed all the colours to win by one. Potted yellow and green and rattled the brown, gary potted brown and blue to win the frame. My God was he relieved, he looked like he was about to kill someone when i managed my 5 snookers. anyway, that made it one each.
Next frame again was fairly scrappy with bash building on just a collection of small breaks and taking frame 3 with Gary conceding with one red left. Bash going 2-1 up.
Final frame was again scrappy with Gary blowing some good chances and bash just holding on and pinching it on the colours.
As gary said the conditions were shit with players constantly walking across your shot and the door opening all the time. Very, very off putting at the best of times but even more irritating when things are already not going your way. I tried to blank it out but it affected gary's game and you could see his frustration.
After the handshake, Gary let the wall know exactly how hard his punch is - the wall seemed ok - i just hope you havn't done any damage Gaz.
Next thing gaz was about to break his cue ( I'm not sure if he was actually going to do it) but i quickly took it off him to let him cool off. He then safely put it in his case.
It is a frustrating game and we all have to handle the up's and downs this beautiful games throws at us.
bad luck Gary - i think we both wanted to win this one to much.
Cheers all
Bash
The hand is fine mate nothing broken. I would rather vent my frustrations on a wall it gets it out my system. And no I wouldn't have snapped my cue. I get tempted every now and again but I won't do it. It's just so frustrating knowing what I'm capable of and just not able to find my form. Worse start to the new year I ever had. Lost so many games. I just need a break from the game. But well done bash you did well getting those snookers and I'm not normally to bad on getting out of them but everything just seems to have deserted me at present.
Glad the hand is ok. Sometimes when things are going bad - its best to take 2 or 3 weeks off and not go near a snooker table. then come back fresh. i am sure you will come through the bad patch mate.
Bash
Good win Bash... Gary's a tough competitor whether he's playing good or bad....Hard luck Gary your form will come back soon....
Cheers Jamie, as you say he's tough to beat when he's buzzing and also tough to beat when he's not. I genuinely like to play players at there best, and Gaz will be the first to admit he was far from his best. Hope you get it sorted Gaz and i am sure we will be having a closer match in the Senior handicap.
Bash
Cheers James and bash, I know it will come back just at the moment seems like it's gone on holiday and left me. Lol, neither of us played brilliantly but you just had the edge bash. Looking forward to the singles match just hope to get firm back before then.
Bash Maqsood 3 v Lee "Cue Action" Crombie 1
Breaks: Maqsood 96,73 & 41 ; Crombie 43
First Frame - pink and black got tied up early on and lee made an excellent hard earned 43 break using just blue and baulk colour. he took command of the Frame and went 1-0 up.
Second Frame ; bit of safety by both players and just a few points scored when lee missed a long red and left bash in . bash cleared the table with a very nice 96 clearance.
third frame - I think lee thought"i may as well go for it". he pot some good long reds but went in off a great long red red. Bash made a 41 and then played safe and kept control of the frame to go 2-1 up.
Final frame - black went out of commission early on. we scored about 20 odd each and pink got tied up in the red. Bash got in first and took a few blues before developing the pink and went on to make a frame winning 73 break. I tried to continue the break by going for a "octangle tetrahedral parabolic arcsine trigonometric" shot i.e i whacked the red and it went about 8 timed across the table and nearly went into the middle pocket.
Bash winning 3-1. bad luck Lee
Cheers all
Bash "Well oiled Machine" Maqsood
Well played Bash, Some outstanding breaks there mate! Keep it up and you'll soon be premier a champion!!!
:bravo:
cheers sean for that. I need to keep the pressure on the rest of the lads because there all close behind ready to take pole position. it only takes two bad results and you soon start coming back down.
Hows The Master Cueist ?? is he ok.
bash
Well played Bash.
Can you put my name down for that tournament you're running at Willie Thorne's on March 23rd please. Are you running it as all one tourno or splitting the 6 or seven 'stronger players' to play each other and letting me have a chance of winning the plate?
Your right Bash, Thats like division 1 too, Very competative and anybody is ready to take your position as soon as you slip up! I aint heard from Sean so not sure.
glad to see your back playing in the tuesday night league. was a little concerned about you when you said your pulling out. glad you got things sorted. Let me know when your playing in Ronnie's qualifier and if i am free i come down and give you some support.
Bash
ok mate, no probs
I heard from Sean earlier, he rang me by accident. I think he was trying to get hold of James but got the wrong number. Apart from being surprised to get me, he sounded fine.
Yea dan got you in. Not sure of foramt as number are very low this year. will keep you informed.
As for the rest - before a mass of e-mails : its only for CSSC or EX CSSC members only.

Nice one Bash. I just gotta call on a favour from my boss to get Special Leave to go. Should be OK, I got enough on him to get him fired several times... He owes me. I'll text you to confirm. I think my mate Jason Pantling is a member and wants to play. I'll text you when I know for sure but you might as well put his name down provisionally. How many you got? I don't want you in the F**king first round... Can't you fix the seeding or something? I was sooo off form last year it was pathetic.
Oh yes, and it isn't some swingers club me n Bash are in (that's on Wednesdays nights) if you lot are suspicious. It's just the Civil Service Sports (or Social) Club.

let me know about the swingers club, did i renew my membership ??? - i could do with a change. you sort me out a nice busty blonde and i'm sure i can do something in the draw,....
bash
You're already a member of the CSSC (civil service swingers club). Have any women put their manes down for some table action yet?
got plenty of women in this year - we'll be bending them over on the 23rd and potting a few pinks....
bash
Are we getting a meal deal again this year? We can impress the babes with a nice burger and chips... They won't know we haven't paid ;)
Looking forward to it. Was a good day last year. Are you driving down there from Nottm that morning?
not sure yet dan - i normally go with the mrs and she has a day out around the golden mile spending all my money by buying half the gold in town. these asain women got a bit of an obsession with gold -
bash
Sounds well expensive. I hope she's worth it. You better not let her read this thread, she might find out about our club.
I should be able to get a lift with one of the Nottm lot, so no worries if you can't mate.
she deaf dumb and blind, can't read or write. just a pretty face and good cook. Good at cleaning and ironing as well.
blood hell, if she know what i'm writing i think it will be divorce time.
Then again , she got a good sense of humour

only joking mate, she's a cracker - one in a million - lover her to bits.
(I say this with her having a knife to my throat)
We play some strange sex games at my house - knives and folks ....etc
over and out..... got to go now.......pink's waiting to be potted...
Bash
well played bash , some good breaks there, but no doubt, rest of us are determined to hit the top spot, so its not gonna be an easy ride.. that said, you have to loose before anything can be done about it !!!!!
Impresive stuff bash some good soild breaks aswell. :bravo:
You're looking rock solid Bash, they're right. I meant it about not wanting you in the first round! Yuo gotta put me in the other half of the draw or I'm screwed. Pretty please
James Moore 1 v Bash Maqsood 3
Breaks : Bash Maqsood - 93, 64 and 52.
bash doing well to keep the pressure on the rest of the field with a great away win on the BCI Match table 7.
Frame 1 started with a little safety and both players scoring just a few points and then bash pots a long red and scores a great 93 break with pink and black left. there were two cracking blues. One was off the last red and rolling in a long blue with the white on the black cushion and blue on its spot. Rolled it in dead weight into the green pocket. Allah Akbar he says under his breath, probably get that one in 30. the next was an acute angle blue cut into the middle pocket at some ridiculous angle. Unfortunately didn't land on the pink for the century finish, but still a great 93 to go 1-0 up.
Frame two was a little edgy with both players just making small breaks. bash went 18 up with the help of Jamie going in off a safety shot on the yellow. Bash takes ball in hand and need just yellow and green. Jamie was looking into the clouds and bash feathered the white and immediately told Jamie who acknowledged the sportsmanship as he had no idea what happened. Jamie pots a great middle distance yellow and hold his nerve well to clear the remaining colours and level at 1 each.
Frame 3. Jamie get in first and secures a 20 point lead. bash pots long red and gets himself in and is on a 64 break, 40 ahead needing just one of the remaining last two red. Didn't land nicely on the red but still should have potted it. the added pressure of frame ball and bash misses the red. Jamie takes the last two red with black and pink and then the yellow and misses a difficult green. after a little safety ( from which Jamie got some outrageous luck by snookering bash twice after attempted pots. Bash's head very nearly went but he held on to pinch the frame on the blue. I am sure Bash would have been gutted if he lost this frame after a 64 break and I am sure Jamie would have gone on to win 3-1. Anyway, Bash then takes the lead 2-1..
Frame 4. bash gets in first and secures 20 odd point lead. After a little safety, Jamie gets himself in and misses a relatively simple black off the spot leaving bash amongst the Balls. Bash makes a 52 break and secures frame and match to win 3-1.
Good victory for Bash against someone i regard as in the best 5 players in Nottingham. Bash keeps the pressure on the remaining field and secures a great two points going into the last 4 or 5 games of the season.
Bad luck Jamie - definitely not much between us but today it was my day. Cheers.
Cheers All
Bash
P.S nice to catch up with you Wayne Bilblie - Your always the "Sherwood Daddy"
Well played Bash you were outstanding tonight and fully deserved your win...you were razor sharp from the word go and had me under all sorts of pressure with good safety and excellent long potting... :welldone:
cheers jamie mate
Ohhhhhh dear, was relying on Jamie to cause an upset , but if nothing happens soon, then we are all doomed . Lol, well played bash, unlucky Jamie
:thx: Bash nice to catch up with u :drink:

:thx: BASH NICE TO CATCH UP WITH U ITS NOT VERY OFTEN U GET 2 LEGENDS IN ONE ROOM ;). WELL PLAYED AWESOME SNOOKER C U SOON
Cheers bilbie, you will always be the sugar daddy. Make sure you don't get relegated in the singles league. Your too good a player to be going down. As I always said, your as good potter as anyone, but your shot selection is not always the best. Leave the jot shots till the end when you have the frame won. I am sure if you kick. Some add on the last few games you will stay up. Cheers

Bash Maqsood 3 Nav Hussain 1
Breaks : Bash 40,51 and 94 . Nav 36,33 and 62
This really was a match of the Highest Quality with only a few balls missed. I (bash) was the home player but agreed with Nav to play this match 2 days earlier and also to play it at pegasus due to certain probs at the conservative club which i am not going into.
anyway, the match kicked off at 10 p.m due to the late finish of the Pegasus A v Pegasus B match, which i thoroughly enjoyed watching the last few frames of. As i say, we started at 10 and were done by 11.10p.m.
Frame 1 - Nav gets in first and is on a nice 36 break and missed a pink in the middle pocket. it looked in all the way but caught the knuckle. Bash then was amongst the ball and made a 51 in reply. With a little safety on the colours, Nav left bash a snick on the yellow. bash pots yellow and clears to go 1-0 up.
Frame 2 - Nav again got in first, with a 33 and missed a relatively easy red. bash was in amongst the balls and cleared the table with a 94 break to go 2-0 up.
Frame 3 Nav gets an early 20 point lead. Bash gets in with a 40 break and eventually goes on to win the frame with a further 20 odd, to take a 3-0 lead.
Frame 4 - bash misses a long red and nav makes a great 62 break, he misses black to go into a bunch of 5 reds. i am sure if he potted that black he may have gone on to make a 130 odd. Anyway, to Nav's surprise, Bash claws his way back into the frame, having needing last two reds with blacks bash is 26 down on the colours and need all of them to win by 1. I think Nav was wondering "what do i have to do to beat this man" . Anyway, bash got a reasonable chance for the clearance but had to play the blue with a trace of side and left it over the pocket. Nav pots blue and and takes the final frame.
Bad luck Nav, you always bring out some good snooker from me. Take that as a top compliment because your one of the few players i know i can't afford to miss against.
Cheers - Bash
Drawing ever nearer to winning the league !!!
Just red that article on Agnus Davies. She looks like a good cueist from that photo and was obviously a real legend in the womens game.
R.i P. i hope i can still pick up a cue at the age of 90, good on her.
Well done Bash!!! :welldone:
Looks like a superb match with a good string of quality breaks matey 40,51 & a superb 94 Awsome matey!!! :bravo: :bravo:
Hard luck Nav a superb break of 62 in the final frame mate
A superb match Hurricane Hussain V's Buzzing Bash!!! Quality Guys ;)
Next Up Bash v James Sky sports 1 hey guys
The match was top quality, in every frame there should have been 50+ breaks as i missed some simple reds around mid 30's in every frame. Also got the first chance in each frame but did not manage to make most of the chances and obviously with bash playing well, you dont want to do that. Could have got a good result from this match as i did manage to get the early leads, but you have to kill the frame off when you have the chance in the prem div.
Well played bash, i think you have it in the bag now, well done !!!
Lucky enough to watch a bit of this one. Great match with equally good breaks from two top draw players.
As you say Bash "closing in on the title". Only Keith can get past you now but that's gonna take some going plus a collapse from yourself. Not mathematically secured but good as :bravo: :bravo: :bravo:
cheers Nav, Mike and kwok. I think keith will have to win all his matches and i will have to slip up a few for him to win the league. I am too experienced to know that its not over till the fat lady sings so will not be taking my foot off the gas just yet.
as, you say Nav, you got in first in all the frame, and i think that pink you missed in the middle in frame one "could" have been a turning point, even though it was the first frame. I am sure had that gone in you would have scored a further 40 plus as i dd and would have gone 1-0 up. It would have been a different match then.
watching you play over this season and having also had a few practice session with you, i am sure you won't mind me saying that you have not performed to your true potential this season. i am sure things will be different next season for you.
Cheers
Bash
im glad you did say that bash as i know that i havent played at my best as it was all down to technical issue which i took with me to all matches and experimented (worst thing to do).. now that im not bothered too much about the technical side, just play normal game and its coming back slowly... i know that i just need a few chances per frame to probably take it, but i would rather do that in 2 LOL !!!
I think practice for a few hours will put everything back to normal for me and will be more consistent.
If the pink had of dropped then may be... but you took your chances, so theres no excuses for that.
sometimes nav getting to technical can impact negatively on your game as you are tending to concentrate on so many other things as well as the shot itself. i agree with all the basics on technique, but i always think that you should play as relaxed as possible and try and keep still on the shot. having videoed myself a few times, i did notice i do show just some slight movement on my last push through of the cue. i have tried to prevent this of late. Nobody ever pointed this out to me, but i would recommend to any player who is trying to improve, to record and look at themselves.
bash
i do need help with the rest - and may be seeing barry stark about it. as i said before, i am still yet to see jamie moore and wayne martin miss with it !! Not seen you use the rest much but thats because you can play left handed as well - what a bonus
great play from Bash and Nav must of been very entertaining to watch.....Bash your outstanding play all sesaon deserves the title :welldone: Hard lines Nav...
Bash, thanks for the match practise at yours last night to say i've not had a good hard practise session for a couple of months or so i was pleased to walk away losing out by the odd couple of frames against a player of your stanard, plus i think i'm finally getting to grips with my new cue.
Ps will have to sort another session out in the near future.
Regards
Ant.................
Malc Belshaw 2 Bash Maqsood 2
(i did'nt bring my random number generator with me but I recall having one Tattee break of 42 in frame 3 and Malc made a great 39 in frame 4)
Well this was nothing but a Tattee of a match on a Tattee of a table on the slowest Tattee of conditions. Why Malc had booked the match table (bci table 7) for saturday at 1.pm and then let someone else on it, and chose to play on the worst table in there (no 5) - only he knows - real nice deception there Malc, i real do rate that trick..well done. Next time, i tell you about a table even worst than 5 and we play on that one, you will love it .............
Anyway.........got to continue this whing, before getting to the match report......... these graphs are really really sour !!!!!! but i love it all.
it's what makes sport so exciting ......
Frame 1 - scrappy Tattee with loads of Tattee missed, I slightly performed a better Tattee than malc and pinched it on the Colours.
Frame 2 - the Tattee Just got worst. I thought I got rid of all my Tattee in frame 1 but I didn't know there was plenty of more Tattee in the tank. I think malc conceded with 1 red left and i went 2-0 up.
Frame 3 - the score ended 86 - 55 in Malcs favour. I gave malc 52 points in fouls that's how tattee this performance was. Malc took full advantage took the frame. This was the frame i got my 42 break in and lost !!
Frame 4 - By now the Tattee was in abundance, and there was a horrible Tatee stench in BCI. It got to a respotted Black which Malc won to level at 2-2.
Irrespective of the Tactics, well played malc and you deserved the draw.
For the non Asians on the forum , Tattee = S H I T , which i believe Steve Edits to POOH !!
I still Love you malc, and take all comments with a pinch of salt.
It now becoming a closer finish to the league
Cheers all

For the non Asians on the forum , pooh = S H I T , which i believe Steve Edits to POOH !!
Bash, I don't have that much time on my hands that I can wade through every post looking for swear words and changing them to something my mother wouldn't find repulsive! I simply add the word to the forum's dictionary of swear words and it changes them for me. That word was not in the dictionary so I have just added it. This has had the effect of making your post a little strange. I will ask my mother to come along to your next match. She will bring some soap with her....
Sorry Steve, I played awful and am just making humourous excuses. I try and keep the messages s little cleaner. Be nice to meet your mum though.
Bash.
I think u got off lightly Bash I think Malc might have beaten u on table7 lol.....
Well played Malc coming back from 2-0 down...
Should be an interesting finale. ....
Forgot to mention, Malcolm used his own match balls. Im sure he put them in the deep freeze overnight, as they were about minus 10 degrees., I am still eating. The graphs.
Bash
Cracking result for the wiley fox Malc!!! Well done Mate
Hard Luck Bash, setting up a superb finale ;)
Best of luck to both yourself and Keith!!!
Bash Maqsood 2 V Chris Winters 2
On the whole it was a srappy match, and chris had a highest break of 35 and i thing i just about managed a 32.
Well jut got back from this match, mrs and kiddie in bed so got plenty of time to fire out a load of abuse and frustration and all the rest of it. Did tell chris all about it so he's really ok about it.
firstly, like to say there was a few spectators who watched this match including dave Buckly, Malc Pilkington, peter trout and Eddie. After watching them i noticed Dave Buckly and Malc had fallen asleep a couple of times and Eddie had to nudge me a couple of time just to making sure i not nodded off in a standing position.
Nowt against Chris personally, he knows i like him as a person, but we have slightly contrasting games and i do often go into "boredom mode" against him" it purely my fault and i got to try and fight that aspect of my game.
Anyway, i won a scrappy first frame and the second really was a turning point of the match. Chris need a snooker with pink and black left and got it and went on to pot the pink and a great back. that made it 1-1 instead of 2-0 to me.
I was then thinking about Ali, Oh my Lordy what is happen here , oh my lord why i no win the frame, oh deaaring me , i kept saying to myself. Oh my lord please helpin me , i in big trouble. Winters putting me in grinding machine and me having no escape - oh my lord , please helping. oh ali, please come helping me.
Anyway in the next chris won that, i think that was the one he made his 35.
In the next i think i was on a 20 odd break and heard a really strange noise in bci. I thought a donkey had entered the premises but it was Jamie Moore laughing in the lounge, after he just got back from his match with spencer. After the reassurance that there was certainly no stray donkey around i missed the next black of the spot.
I again began to think, Oh my lordy, what is happen,
Anyway, I held on a secured the 2-2 draw.
I think Mr Moore is winding me up as he said Keith beat Nav 3-1 ???? not sure i believe that as Nav has a posting on the forum at around 9.30p.m ???
well, it's all written how the league will finish. I really wanted to seal it tonight but it wasn't to be.
It is He Allah who is the knower of all things ...
Just be grateful we are all in good health and our arms and legs are all reasonably well functioning, we can go out and enjoy a game of snooker in a great country. Praise the lord - it is just a game at the end of the day.
Had some good banter with Chris and Jamie after the match and it was a good laugh. Apparently, Chris is not taking a total break next year and will still play in the singles league which is good news.
I really wish your Mrs the best of luck for the arrival of your first baby. it will be the best moment of your life and you will love it. The Good Lord gives us such wonderful joys in life and the most precious of this is the birth of a child - its amazing and from the bottom of my heart Chris, I wish you and your Mrs all the best.
If it's a boy then you can name him Ayothullah ahmed bim ali akbar rafsanjani and if its a girl you can call her Kate.
If Keith does (or has beaten ) Nav, then as a sporting gesture I will agree to play Keith at bci as it will create a far better atmosphere then at my hideout in bridgford.
As i say, win, lose or draw, maqsood will give you entertainment !!
Cheers all
bash
Hard luck bash
I guess it was always going to be a tricky match theres no doubt chris can play.
Is a draw a respectable score though i dont know.
Just to update everyone, haven't played Keith yet as its been rearranged for next week. Keith become Granada for the first time , so he wants to spend time with family. So all is good all will update you guys next week, tense thriller.
Grandad we love you, grandad we do

we think of you
and some day when were older, we'll look back and say
you pot all the balls
in such a fine way.......
Good luck Keithy chappy on becoming a grandad !!!
You should win it now Nav as he won't have much time to practice with the newcomer in his family.
Bash
well thats the same for me. No time to practice, just play on the day and see what happens !! But will obviously give 100% and have a 100% record against keith, so will try to keep it that way.
Just a quick message that i feel like pooh at the minute ...... Lost to Keith 4-0. will give a full match report in a while.
Well played keith - you deserved it
Bash
 :laugh:unlucky bash, Keith is playing well, there is always next year. Oh well, that is a game of snooker, anything can happen or ???
Or was it 2-2 Bash?
Sorry, that was a little white lie - at long, long long last i dome enough to pinch the title. In my posting this afternoon i thought i had already won it with Nav drawing with keith. It had been pointed out to me had keith beat me 4-0 he would have took the title.
Well here we go with the match report.........
Frame 1 - well this was probably the longest frame of the season last just about 55 mins. Keith came with a game plan, pure and simple to grind me to death all night. The ball got tied up, colours went awkward, lots of safety and no risks being taken at all. i was forced to play the same type of game because i know what he's capable of if i go for it. This frame was like playing Chris Winters in Action replay. I so desperately wanted to win the first frame and i fought for it with some great safety. We were both just pinching 15's and 18' sand 20's and i just pinched it on the colours with keith needing a snooker. i went on to pot the pink (well actually I fluked it) and go 1-0 up. Keith knowing full well i have now won the league and congratulated me straight away.
Throughout this frame in my mind i just kept saying "come on bash don't lose this frame otherwise he will be grinding you all night and you may not get home till gone midnight. Come on bash hold in there, come on Allah, please guide my cue, i need your assitance, this man is grinding my cue action apart..... please help me.........I was so so relieved and thanked Allah when I won that frame. It did mean alot to me.
Frame 2 - Keith was a little more relaxed and got in first with a long red and got 5 reds and blacks and it really did look like he was on a maximum and was so unlucky not getting on his next red and it ended on 40. He put me safe and i was in trouble and messed up a safety shot and Keith was in again and made another 55 break to level at 1-1.
Frame 3 - i managed to get in first and this was by far the best chance i had so far and i made a nice break of 45. Keith came back with a 28 and by the time we got to the colours i need an easy brown to go 2-1 up. I took the shot so casually and missed it and keith cleared from to black to go 2-1 up.
Frame 4 - even though i had won the league i still did not want to lose this match and got in first and was on a break of 63 and lost position and missed. Keith then soon conceded shortly after on the colours and i levelled the match at 2-2.
Final result Bash Maqsood 2 v Keith Holgate 2
Breaks Bash - 45 & 63 Keith - 40 & 55
Thanks keith and good luck next year.
I did play this match at bridgford and did let keith know that there is a dress code for all snooker matches at west bridgford and you have to wear waistcoat and bow tie which keith was ok about. Obviously Keith was very upset on not winning the league and i managed to get a quick photo of him on the way out:

Unfortunately, things didn't get any better for Keith and by the time he got home he was in a far worst state:

:bravo: :bravo:
I knew someone would bite on the 4-0 gag.
Firstly, thanks to all who have congratulated me on winning the league - cheers guys.
I have really enjoyed taking part in the league and would like to thank all involved both organisers and players. I would encourage the likes of others, Martin, brooks, Bettridge,Clint(and some others from beeston), ashley walker and other to join and add to the numbers in this league. Come on guys, it's only one evening every 2 weeks.
It's a great format and i think that it keeps you match sharp throughout the year and helps you in the other comps as you go through the season.
I really have enjoyed it, and that's not just because i won !
I had a great run of form and couldn't miss a ball from december till about end of feb. Then towards the end i thought i wasn't going to make it over the finishing line - just about managed. what a finish though - going down to the last match. I was just thinking had keith gone 3-0 up then it would have all depended on the last frame!
I think there are some great players around in nottingham at the moment. They are great both on and off the table and will like to thank all who have taken part.
I am glad no one has taken offence to my on-going banter, but if you have been offfended then please "do not" let me know as i would struggle to bring this to an end !! I am sure you all know me well enough that i do like to let my feelings out and speak my mind but not to take the comments too seriously but with a pinch of salt. I am just having a laugh even though sometimes i'm not sure if i'm the only one laughing. Hope you have enjoyed the recent photo's that give you added entertainment on the match reports.
Got tv all set up in other room to enjoy 2 cracking weeks of snooker on the T.V. Mrs knows she dont see me much (i think that suits her fine) during world champ except me ordering the tea's and coffees and sandwiches and evening meal. I get well spoilt over the 2 weeks. Little baby also enjoys watching a frame or two so she also keep's me entertianed as well. Come on fatso you can do it. Lets hope it's going to be a cracking 2 weeks.
I wonder if you guys heard about ronnie phoning up world snooker last week and saying he will be pulling out. They asked him to put the request in writing and phoned back the next day and said he's changed his mind. His mind is all over the shop.

Hey Dan, i thought they were all gunning for me this year !! You know me Dan, i just love competetive snooker and the more we have the better.
Like you say, now that i have won the league, then next season, it gives an added incentive to the others to try and make sure i don't win it again - that' what makes sport so exciting.
bash
Love the picture bash it does somewhat strike a remarkable resemblance to me ...... but the nose is too small ;)
