Rules The competition will be played in accordance with the official rules of snooker as published by the WPBSA and IBSF (http://www.ibsf.info/rules-snooker.shtml). The miss rule will be played unless both players elect not to play it.
Match duration All matches will be 4 frames in length and all 4 frames must be played. 2 points will be awarded for a win and 1 point for a draw.
Match venue Matches will be played at any venue of the home player's choosing within the Nottinghamshire county boundary or with an NG postcode. It is the responsibility of the home player to ensure that a table is booked in advance of the match and that his opponent is made aware of the match venue. The home player will pay table costs.
Arranging matches All matches shall commence at 8pm on Thursday evenings. gary spencer playing bash maqsood in what was always going to be a tricky fixture, with bash playing from west bridgeford conservative club, the first frame was scrappy with bash taking a 29 point lead with the last red remaining, and spencer taking on a cross double, and potting it then clearing the table with a 32 clearance, the 2nd frame was a whole lot different with bash bashing spencer in this one not giving him a chance.frame 3 saw a resilliant spencer carry on from the 1st frame with some good safety, causing bash to set spencer up and taking the balls that were available, not very high scoring in this frame. frame 4 saw bash get in first only to miss a tough pink and let spencer in with spencer making a 33 missing a black along the rail with 2 reds remaining, in the end it came down to an unlikely error off bash when he went in off the brown leaving spencer to pot brown and blue leaving bash needing 3 snookers on pink and black, with spencer eventually dropping the pink in for match 3-1 spencer.
Nice result Gazza against Deadly Bash
Gary Spencer vs Wayne Martin senior handicap.
This encounter was always going to be tricky for both players with them playing some solid snooker lately. It was the first frame and Spencer took an early initiative in this one and taking the frame. 1-0 spencer.
Frame 2 Wayne showing his class in this one with a great 40 break followed by a 43. Some excellent positional play from Wayne never giving Gary a chance in frame 2. 1-1.
Frame 3 gets underway with Wayne getting going first off, with waynes safety not up to his usual best. Gary got in on the start of what could have been a decent break but for the mother of all kicks that could have been heard on the moon. It was a few shots later and a timely little break that put Gary in control. Playing a good snooker with just the colours left on table and Wayne missed leaving Gary to take the frame and match 2-1. Unlucky Wayne. Always a pleasure playing you.
Well Done Gaz - you deserved the victory tonight.
Good luck in the next round.
:welldone:
yep, well done gaz, unlucky wayne, good breaks.
Gary played Malc Belshaw at bci on this occasion with Gary going 2-0 having a 40 break in frame 2. and then frame 3 saw Malc take garys game apart in this frame always scoring with every visit. 4th frame saw Gary bounce back from previous frame demolition by Malc with the help if a flukes red and going on to make a 69 break only to lose position with 4 reds remaining. Table played really well with the help of Malc march balls.
3-1 Gary . Malc as always gracious in defeat. Always a tough player to beat.
Well played Gaz, sounds like you are starting to find that deadly game of yours.
:bravo:
Had to change my tip again last nite. Got some advice if mr holt on how to get tip match ready as soon as it's on. Bloody he'll it's good now . Feels so much better. It's only 3rd tip since last tues.
Someone told me you have to knock the tip in with the cue ball by hand and that should make it ready.
That's what I normally do. But found out not enough. Massive difference in tip now Nav.
Singles league match between gary and Lee Crombie . Gary winning the match 4-0 with breaks if 48 and 49 when trailing in frames 2 and 3 respectively. Last frame down to the black with Lee unlucky in leaving it over the pocket. Unlucky Lee.
James Moore Vs Gary Spencer. This match played at bci with the result going 3-1 to Gary.
The match was very close first frame down to the pink with Spencer bridging over the black and pink near yellow pocket. To get to this stage there was some very good safety play from both players. Neither player scoring heavy.
Frame 2 again another close game. Down to pink and black with good safety through the game. Spencer putting James in all sorts of trouble with his safety. And making James work hard for this frame. James winning this one 1-1
Frame 3 gets underway with a shaky start to the fram. Then Spencer woke up knocking in a 50 break missing the yellow down the side rail. There was so
E excellent safety shots from James through the match. 2-1 Spencer.
Frame 4 and it's alot of errors from both players. With it coming down to pink and black again. Spencer pots the punk only to go in off. Then James misses a chance at pink leaving it up fir Spencer to finish. 3-1 Spencer. Pleasure playing James but he will admit he's a shadow of his former self. Nor scoring yet as he's very capable of.
Good result GAZ, you beginning to find your rhythm. Your doing very well in the league, good one.
Well played Gary....
Well played Gazza, sounds like a close one.
It could quite easily been the other way round with the scores. And even a 2-2 would have been a fair result. Fair play to James though graceful in defeat. Looking forward to the return at Pegasus.
Played at Pegasus . Gary won 4-0 no notable breaks.
well done Gaz , unlucky malcolm.
That's coz you played with my match balls :) well done pal. Unlucky Malc
It's all about having the balls
Gary played Lee Crombie at sherwood . No sizeable breaks from Gary only a 39 and then Lee making a very good 62 in the last frame. Gary won 3-1. Unlucky Lee.
Well played Gary. Back to back wins sees you jump from 7th to 4th spot. A good strong finish to what has been a tough old season for you :bravo: :welldone:
as the saying goes.....'what doesn't kill you will make you stronger'
Well done mate
Mike
That's a great win gaz, with a great jump up the table to go with it - only one place behind your doubles buddy. Hopefully, that will bring a bit of confidence back to your game after a "struggling" season. Just make sure you dont watch the griffiths video or you to may get the cramp !
Nice 62 break from crombie as well.
As for Nav, you better get in to gear for Killer Keith because your slipping in the wrong direction in the table !!!
Its all getting interesting !!
Bash
LOL, no practice , leads to bad results all together... that is exactly whats happening to me. Just turn up to matches and see how it goes, got no time to hit the table and get the arm going. Have re-arranged the match with killer keith for next week as i didnt have time to make it this week and keith kindly asked if wanted to play another time (very kind of him as he could have just gone for the w/o).
But definately going to try hard in the match and see what happens !!
Good result for you Gaz, thats more like it, it was just matter of time when it was going to happen. Unlucky lee, you get the breaks in the match, but need to finish the complete match.
Partner - You need to get that arm going before Sunday - we will need to be at our best against the BCI boys.
I'm counting on you as I haven't hit a ball since Tuesday night.
;)
Well played Gazzzzzzzzzzza! :drink:
who you playing at bci wayne?
Need to get into the second pairs final wayne and it seems that we are on a good run at the moment, so will see what happens on the day. You better get in the club and have a knock before the match on sunday... its home venue and we know the table. ;)
You are right partner - sadly I may not even be allowed out - still working now and not spoken to my wife yet since getting back from London - picture no sound!!!!!
Neither player playing at there best here, Gary winning 3-1, thanks for the advice after the match James, hopefully we can both find our form through the summer, ready for next season. Unlucky tonite mate should have been 3-1 in your favour at least. Looking forward to our next meeting. Always a pleasure to play you.
Well played Gaz , unlucky James .
OOh my lord gary, very good win there against Mr Moore- he (mr moore) was making all sorts of excuses about your match, when he got back to bci. I just told him to go home and pray for everyone and it will get the snooker out his system.
He said he will try it .......... O lord, grant Jamie Moore the mental peace and tranquilty that he requries at this most difficult of time and help him come over his loss to the Holy One, Mr Gary Spencer. Amen.
Once again, well done gaz.
Good night all and God bless.
Bash
Cheers Gary you took your chances and deserved your win - we were not at our best but I enjoyed the game. That is a really nice table to play on at Pegasus.
Jamie Moore - you are full of Pooh at the moment ! Please go to the toilet to get rid of some of the Pooh you are coming out with of late !
I don't know, telling me stories about Keith beat Nav 3-1, with Keith getting a 102 break and be falling for it and mentally preparing for keith for the final match - i dont know - but i really like the way you made a fool of me - well done - Gold star for Jamie
Bash
i thought you were out of medication so I was giving you some of your own medicine lol
lol, you guys are funny.
Bash - you seem to be infecting the Notts snooker lads with your humour - keep it up!!!
Lay off my partner though - he has mental issues as it is
Bash, after a few complaints there has been unanimous vote to have you sectioned under the mental health act 1983. You will have to go through electro convulsive therapy and if your unhappy with that, your doctor has a statutory responsibility to obtain a second opinion from an independent Second Opinion Appointed Doctor who is appointed by the Mental Health Act Commission. If the second doctor says you should have the treatment, you are legally obliged to do so.
This was initially brought to attention by Zeb Ahmed who insisted that Bash is a major concern and a threat to his fellow snooker players, i.e. bash with his 8mm snooker tip may have a poke at someone which is totally unacceptable. So due to your consistent bad behaviour, its only best in the public interest to have you put away in solitary confinment until its deemed appropriate to let you out.
You are free to leave once your doctor is satisfied that you have made a recovery, or if the section order comes to an end. If you feel ready to face the world before that time, you can be discharged in several ways. Either you or your nearest relative can apply to the hospital managers, or your case may be referred to a Mental Health Tribunal. It should be pointed out that many patients remain in hospital voluntarily after a section order has come to an end, in order to complete any recommended treatment.
Bash, i was just asked by Zeb to put this up, i think you are o.k !!

Nav, zeb, I love that posting. I am in stitches seeing that photo. I had to double check cause I actually thought it was me for a minute. You definitly got one. Up on me there lads. I promise to make am appointment when I get knocked out. Of notts am. I take Jamie with me as he needs help as well. Funny thing is, it was an electric shock that got me in this state and now I need one to get me out.
Bash
Im glad Bash you have taken heed of the advice offered without any charge, unlike some doctors out there !!
Nav, thanks for the free advice, i promise i will be seeking an appointment pretty soon, but please don't send me any more photo's of James Wattana playing sex games with his wife !
Bash
Ironically, nav, one of my favourite films is "one flew over the Cukoo's nest" - absolute classic.
If i do ever end up in a place like that, i probably take the role of "big Chief" - pretending I have mental health issues !!
Bash
LOL, it could be James Wattana or even Mr Fu !!
It's you Bash - for sure!!!
