Title: English seniors tour clay cross.
Post by: gary spencer on 09 November 2010
The event held at clay cross on 7 November had a field of 13 players , playing  3 groups with the toughest group having steve Judd and bash Maqsood in it. Also the 1987 English amateur champion mark rowing. Judd coming through the group unbeaten to qualify for the quarter finals. Gary Spencer was in group c coming through his group with 2 wins from 3 qualifying him for the quarters also. Bash was unlucky in his group with 3 players all on identical points and frames won. So in his group had to play 2 single frame shootouts. Unfortunately bash not showing the class he's capable of. He should of beat the Judd in his group match but for missing the cash ball. Quarters saw Judd playing mark rowing again but losing out on this occasion and Spencer playing former world snooker coach mike smith losing 3-1. Next event feb 2011.

Thanks for posting that report Gaz.  What is Clay Cross like as a venue?  The EASB seem to be holding a lot of comps there nowadays.

Hi steve, the venue is one of the nicest ones I played at. Comfortabe surroundings and the tables aren't to bad. There's a couple of dodgy tables but overall a great place for tournaments.
