Title: Donation to Edward Bright
Post by: Steve Butler on 22 February 2008
Following on from our donations this season to Kaya Jackson and the Lenton Soup Kitchen, our next donation will be to Edward Bright, a 7 year old boy who contracted meningitis last year and had to have all his limbs amputated.

The Committee are currently working with Edward's family to see what items he needs that will help him enjoy as normal a life as possible.  We will keep you updated.

We have purchased a 12 foot swimming pool for Edward and we are just about to order a complete table, chairs and sun-lounger set for his parents and family to use whilst they are supervising Edward in the pool.

Thanks to the generosity of the league's players and Phoenix Cue Sports who contributed £20 from the recent Eastwood Charity Snooker Open, we were able to donate a swimming pool and garden furniture to Edward Bright.

The photograph shows the league treasurer, Dave Buckley, presenting Edward with his swimming pool.
