Title: Pegasus v BCI (13/11/07)
Post by: Mike Langdon on 14 November 2007
Pegasus 4  BCI   4

Pegasus's black ball woe continued for the second consecutive match as they were held to a draw by third placed BCI Snooker Centre.  At home Chris Brooks and Jamie Mathers maintained their unbeaten singles records so far this season although both players failed to play to the best of their abilities.  The normally reliable Steve Booth had an off night and was the only casualty as Chris Brooks and Rick Worrall won the doubles frame.
Chris Piech got the away leg of to a good start with a much needed victory however Mike Langdon and Scott Bates failed to win in their matches.  Scott lost a good lead going into the colours and eventually lost a black ball game whilst Mike could only watch on in despair as a ridiculous fluke on the black, which rattled two pockets before somehow finding it's way into the bottom pocket condemned him to defeat.  This all meant that the previously unbeaten partnership of Chris Piech and Mike Langdon needed to win in the doubles.  After some good safety from both pairs it was home side who took full advantage when their chances came with a decent break of 24 followed by a 17 to give BCI a share of the points.
