Congratulations to James Moore on winning event 1 of the Nottingham order of merit.

In the other semi Maqssod defeated Wayne Martin by 3 frames to 1 in a tight match that was decided by some very narrow margins.
Martin and Simpson both received £10 as the losing semi finalists.
Highest break of the day went to Maqsood with a fantastic 113 in the group stages.
16 players turned up on the day and four groups of four with 2 qualifying from each group to decide the quarter finals.

I'm glad it went well Wayne. Some good snooker by the sounds of it. It's about time Jamie won something as well! Congratulations to him and commiserations to Bash.
:bravo:
I tell you something I was very lucky to win this match...Bash missed a fairly straight forward pink to beat me 3-1 .....it was a scrappy final with a lot of tired shots....unlucky bash...thanks a lot to wayne for organising the tournament so well...I think u do exceptionally well to compete as good as u do with the added burden of running everything... I was very impressed whilst playing your semi final match one of the young lads was leaving and u went out of your way to shake his hand and thank him for coming...nice touch...
Well played Jamie and unlucky Bash! A great days snooker and really good match pracitce thanks for a great day ;)
Excellent stuff, another year but the same very high standard :bravo: :bravo:
Well played James i was scratching my head last year when you kept getting dumped out at the quarter-final stage
Hard luck Bash, Wayne, Toby but hey there's always event 2 to win.
Great turn-out, well done Wayne.
Big thankyou to Wayne for running the day, Much appericated mate!
Very well done James, Hard luck Bash, Plenty more events to win!!
:welldone:
Well played James mate, as Steve said, your well due a win - your too good a player for just making the numbers up. As you said, we were both a little tired and the quality wasn't as good as some of the matches we played throughout the day - it must be old age catching up with us.!!
Cheers again Wayne for sorting it all out. It was nice to see a good turn out. I know you have done some coaching in the past. I may need some handy tips from you and Jamie with using the rest. You both have a solid technique with the rest - ii hate using it and it can be a severe handicap at times. Can you or James let me in on the secrets sometime ??
Bash
cheers mate - see you athe the next one
bash
Thanks Steve Toby Mike Sean and Bash... I feel a little fortunate today as I had a bit of luck throughout the day....bash very a very unlucky loser as his standard of snooker was very high throughout the day and would have been a very deserving winner....however every dog has his day and it was mine today lol....cheers all!!

Great to hear that you all enjoyed the day!!!!
I'll get the rankings and full tournament report sorted later on today
Well said Mr Moore,i totally agree with what you say about Wayne.I was not going to enter cus my game is really poor at the moment and on top of that ive got problems with my tip and ferrell, but i thought it would be nice to make an effort for a mate who does that little extra for nothing to take the responsibility of organising it.I think there are a few more so called snooker players out there that dont come down for some reason,or is the reason 92,93,113 !!!!! just joking boys,i say it cus it would just be more entertaining with you guys there.
I would love to come to them but my weekends are taken up with my little boy. Nit even been to willies for god knows how long. I will defo see if I can try and get to some but my time at weekends is precious. Good luck to all who enter. And a big well done to Wayne for getting it all going again.
thanks wayne for sunday :bravo:. Really enjoyed it, :welldone:jamie and thanks to everyone great bunch of guys and friendly atmosphere hope to c u all in feb...............
