We recently smashed our latest £100 fundraising target when Wayne Martin and Nav Hussain told the NBSA to put the money that would have been used to purchase their summer league trophies into our Charity Box.
In return, Wayne was asked to nominate the recipient of our donation and he chose Laura Barrett's Kilimanjaro Summit Trek 2012 (http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/fundraiser-web/fundraiser/showFundraiserPage.action?userUrl=LauraBarrett3&pageUrl=2).

Thanks to everyone who helped us to reach our £100 fundraising target. Another donation will be made when we reach our new target.
its nice see snooker players enjoying their game and also giving money to a charitable cause. That's fantastic.
I popped into BCI last week and was really impressed with the club. Not many snooker clubs left like that with the "high Ceilings". Nice club with some friendly people.
The charity side of things is the main reason I got into organising snooker leagues and tournaments in the first place. I was asked to join the Nazareth House Snooker League committee back in 2005/06. That league had always been a charity league right from when it started in the 1940's. I was reluctant to get involved at first because I wasn't sure I could commit the time but the fact that the league raised lots of money for good causes was the deciding factor.
I'm really keen to see the charity fundraising continue although I must confess I was very disappointed with the turnout for our last charity tournament (there were 5 of us!).
