It was good to have Brian back playing again after his recent troubles with his neck and back. We played this at Pegasus and initially couldn't get a table! Is this to do with the fact that a lot of the tables seem to have been re-clothed? Build it and they come...
Anyway, Brian came flying out of the blocks, using his 14 start well and clearing the colours to the pink to deservedly win the first frame. Jon was impressed and realised he had to focus a little better.
Jon eventually got it together and ran out a 3-1 winner as Brian visibly struggled with his back. No breaks to speak of although Jon did manage to escape all of the snookers he found himself in, which will probably be the first and last time that ever happens.
Thanks for the game Brian, I look forward to playing you again next winter (and no, don't worry, you can't be relegated).
