REGIONAL JUNIOR TOUR EVENT 2
The English Regional Junior Tour is a set six events for players Under 20 played in three area?s North, Midlands and South at various clubs through the season.
The eventual top 3 players in each area will be promoted to the Premier Junior Tour that comprises of a set 48 players.
Player?s who finish 4-6 in the three area?s on the RJT play off next May for any additional PJT places.
North ? Liverpool Snooker Academy ? 31 players
Elliot Slessor extended his lead in the rankings with his 2nd successive win beating Sean Pritchard 2-1 in the final after losing the first frame.
Jonathan Buglass runner up in the 1st event again made the highest break 71 and reached the semi finals losing again to Slessor 2-1.
Pritchard who only finished 3rd in his group after failing to qualify in the 1st event overcame three players in the top 8 to reach the final winning two of his three matches 2-1 as did Slessor.
Group winners unbeaten Slessor 11/4 frames, Buglass 10/2 Glen Bowman and John Roberts also10/2 losing a match Daniel Womersley 9/3 and David Doyle 7/5 for players in this group with the same avaerage.
Top 8; Slessor 450, Buglass 332, Jamie Gibson 301, Roberts 242, Zac Barton 240, Richard Remelie 202, Bowman 201 and Pritchard 193.5.
Midlands ? Stadium Snooker Hall Green Birmingham ? 25 players
Nikolas Charalambous takes over at the top of the rankings after reaching his 2nd consecutive final winning this one beating Thomas Kerslake 2-0 in the final.
Semi finalist Andrew Smith made the day?s highest break 74.
The winner untroubled in his first two knockout matches gained revenge Octobers final defeat beating Shahrukh Nasir 2-1, Kerslake semi finalist in Derby won two of matches 2-1 losing one frame to Sameer Knight despite a 52 break.
Young Hannah Jones beat James Jelley 2-1 in her group.
Group winners undefeated Lewis Mayes 10/2, Charalambous 7/2, Phil Parkin, Aaron Dakin and Kerslake all 7/2 finally Callum Downing 8/1 who also made the most breaks over forty.
Top 8; Charalambous 405, Nasir 376, Kerslake 331, Downing 242, Knight 241, Mayes 240, Parkin 231 and Andrew Smith 210.
South ? Woking SC ? 30 players
Ollie Tydeman now leads this sections rankings after beating Sean O?Sullivan 2-0 in the final comfortably the winner only losing three frames all day.
Young Shane Castle made the highest break just 67 losing in the last 16 to Michael Grinstead who has twice now reached the quarter finals.
Last months winner Kurtis Weaver failed to qualify from the group stage previous event runner up Lawrence Oliver made the last four beaten 2-0 by Tydeman.
Group winners Adam Bobat 12/3, Mark Green 11/4, Castle 12/3, Scott Bell 11/4, Tydeman and Liam Tinne both 13/2, Bobat and Castle both losing a match.
