neck and neck for the first 4 frames with the scores at 2 all,joe and gaz stepped up a gear to clinch the win with the last 2 games,
always a pleasure to play the ruddington lads,shame about not being able to contest the league with mapperly due to their 6 points given to them!not their fault though.

Although as Gaz said not the way we would of liked. We were truly gutted we didn't get to play last night.......

We have really enjoyed the league this summer and although its a hollow victory we will take it!!

I was truly gutted we didnt play yesterday its not very often my team give walkovers yesterday was just one of those nights.

Diabolical that a league is settled in this way! Think the committee should look at this when there's more than 1 team in with a shout!

We'll make sure it's on the agenda for the next meeting.  There's no easy answer but Steve has an idea that may help to avoid it happening in future seasons.

In my teams defence and truly mean this, I would of loved to have played the game and I knew it was a crucial game for both mapperley and phoenix I tried everything i could to get a 3rd player. I even looked up the rules to see if I could just send the 2 players I did have only to find out I couldn't.

My team have forfeited maybe 2 games in god knows how many years, ive struggled for players in the past as we all know but I still always managed to send a full team to games.

I was upset about Monday almost as much as every one else.

I agree with Terry that, it's a huge shame the league was decided this way (but maybe diabolical is a tad strong)

But taking nothing away from our team, we were 4 points clear going into the last game of the season and had been top of the league the whole of the season.

I am confident we would have got a result on Monday night, or at least enough points to secure the league. I do feel bad for the other teams involved in this, but as James has said he very rarely has to forfeit a game, and trust me James and his team would have loved to be the team that stopped up securing the title (Right Mr R?)

These things do happen and I'm sure we have all had them happen to us on numerous occasions, it's a shame it was the last game of the season and we didn't have chance to see the league out in the correct manner, but I think as a team we need credit for having a solid season and winning the league, it is after all only one match out of 10.

James, please don't misunderstand me, it wasn't a personal slurr, its not the team involved that's the issue, its the ruling and Steve has already pointed out that he has an idea to prevent this happening again.

Glenn, I don't doubt that you would have got the result but it would have been better for you to have won the frames.

Not into getting into a debate over this, just happy that the committee are going to address this matter, going forward, watch their space!!!

Hi all,as it turned out bci d didn't field a team for our last match so we got the second promotion spot as we won 6 nil.
feel really sorry for ruddington.(a bit)
the only answer is to reschedule the matches that are missed in future.
p.s glenn,why has your profile picture got you standing in a puddle in bondage gear and mine is of me holding a cue????lol
