A good win for Barry Stark at Beeston Snooker Hall.  He knocked in a break of 68 in the final frame too.

There's still one match outstanding from the previous round which needs playing asap: Kirk Wesselby v Wayne Bilbie.  The winner of that match will face Alex Smith away in the last 16.

In the Handicap Singles we still await the outcome of the following round 2 matches:

Not the best standard of matches to be honest,I played well in the first frame and that was it. Both had a fair few chances and only myself to blame for not making the most of them. I enjoyed the last frame though, potted a long red off his break and went round the angles to go in off and not get another shot lol. Good luck in next round.

Doubles? Oh yes id forgot about that. I think we entered this in 2002 and still waiting to play!! Whats the crac??? Getting stupid this, cos i play pool and work evenings, so need to get it in my diary. I know one of the guys is now ill, so hope u recover soon, but this is what what happens when its left til last minute. Moan over

It was simply exceptional circumstances.  Barry was ill in hospital.  Then Ray was on holiday.  Then when Ray returned he became ill too.  Is unfortunate the way it worked out but it will get played soon.  We're a bit more relaxed about the doubles because it's one round ahead of the singles comps.  Hopefull Ray will be well enough to play in the next week or so.
