I guess Shaun will be the happier of the two players as the result keeps him clear of the chasing pack for 3rd spot in Division One.

Frame 1

Langdon started brightly in this one knocking off the 7 handicap and building up a small lead.  A couple of poor safety shots allowed Parkinson to get his eye in with a couple of small contributions from which he kicked on whilst also enjoying a good run of the balls to leave Langdon needing a snooker which he could not get. Frame 2

Parkinson was quick out of the blocks in this frame building up a good 26 point lead before the snooker gods decided to level things up with Langdon enjoying a good run of the balls.  Close frame this one with Langdon getting over the line by potting brown and blue.

Frame 3

Langdon won this frame comfortably with a change of tactics which reaped instant results.  A solid frame of 'hit and run' snooker left Parkinson at the snookers required stage without getting down to the colours.  Everything Shaun missed he stuck up so with the run of balls still in my favour i was very hopeful of winning the next frame and bagging the points.

Frame 4

Shaun has improved a great deal over the last season or so and rather than cave in he's now a much tougher proposition.  Parkinson knuckled down and did exactly what Langdon had done so well in the previous frame, score and get that cue ball safe!  Langdon was trailing going into the colours but not by many so it was all to play for.  Parkinson grabbed a well deserved draw by potting an excellent brown followed by an equally testing mid range straight blue into the corner pocket to ensure the spoils would be shared.
