Hello,

Is it a foul if when using the rest , the rest is totally placed upon the side rail and none of the rests feet are in contact with the bedcloth.

Nick Kirkman

To my knowledge there is no foul committed. I have seen professional players hold the rest in the air while playing a shot which Is a rearity and not often seen but it's not a foul.

Yeah as nick said..............mark williams is prob the master at holding the rest in the air to cue over other balls..............so with that not being a foul i would def say that the shot ur going on about is not a foul either.
