Pegasus 'B'   4-4   Cotgrave Welfare

Both sides will be happy with a point after a hard fought draw which keeps them well placed in the division.  The Pegasus away leg struggled down at Cotgrave with debutant Ken Michell going down against Harry Broidy. Cotgrave's impressive Rob Paterson was too strog for Danny Knowles who tasted defeat for the first time this season.  Fortunately for Pegasus Eric Towle finally beat John Cyrek at the third time of asking in what proved to be a very important frame in the final shake up.  The frame was very close but Towle sank the final black to win by just one point to bring the scoreline back to 2-1.  Cotgrave have always prided themselves as one of the toughest places to go and the club ensured a home leg win with Billy Johnson & B.Campbell seeing of Towle & Michell in a close pairs frame.  At Pegasus Steve Booth remains the only unbeaten Pegasus player after a comfortable win against Chris Armstrong whilst the talented Steve Evans levelled for Cotgrave by condemning Andy Orange to his first loss.  The final singles match between Pegasus skipper Mike Langdon and Phil Foster was very close but Langdon finished strongly to see off the Cotgrave man which all meant the Pegasus pairing of Booth & Langdon needed to win the pairs to salvage a draw.  Langdon got Pegasus off to a dream start with a well crafted 29 break which he was unlucky not to continue after going into the pack and coming up dry.  Cotgrave came back into the frame with some great potting from both players and at one stage got the score down to just 8 points but the Pegasus pair held their nerve to see out the match.
