Toby Irons 1 - 3 Matt Hearson-Ellis

In this rearranged match Matt pinched the first of four very tight frames after Toby left the black over the yellow pocket.
Toby took the second on the pink with neither player finding any form.
Matt took the third frame after jawing Toby on the blue when i think he needed a couple of snookers.
In the last frame it was close going down to the last couple of reds until Matt potted red and then fluked a blue which hit the black pocket and went along the cushion into the opposite pocket - the tightest pocket at BCI as well! Matt then potted a tricky red into the brown pocket and followed this with brown, yellow, green and brown again to take the frame and match.

Hard luck Toby neither of us really played very well but thanks for agreeing to get this match played. Well done and see you next season.

Nice win matt - just make sure there's nothing in the league rules for Toby to "claim" it a second time. I think Toby is a member of "claims direct", so its worth a double check.

Well (scrappy) played Matt it was still a good game even though it was srappy and slow i enjoyed it!! See you next season for sure

Paul Bell 3 - 1 Matt Hearson-Ellis

Oh dear - poor scrappy game at BCI on 'that' table again!

Paul was playing his 'A' safety game and was leaving me nothing and went for nothing just potting off my mistakes and went 2-0 up.

I managed to start well in the third frame and later potted yellow green and brown, and a few shots later sealed it with the blue to pull a frame back.

In the final frame Paul let me in around the black and i played a good shot to split the reds up only to break down later on 15 missing an easy red to the corner when at least a 40 should have been on. Paul never looked back and later took the frame on the pink to win 3-1.

Well played Paul - you're a tricky opponent and you've been playing with Sam Haugh far too much!

I think it is table 5? - its next to the 'match' table furthest away from the door of the two tables if that makes sense!

Cheers Bash - although i beat Toby on it i lost to Sam Haugh on it and now Paul - it is dead slow and one of the black pockets seems jinxed!

No Ross im going to make the most of the summer and just play in the singles league at Pegasus - are you entering the league?

I'll ring Mike and find out how many Pegasus teams he has entered.  I'm pretty sure we can still raise one more team every week on top of what Pegasus entered last season.  Don't forget there's Brian available as a reserve too and others are available occasionally.  If Mike's only entered 3 teams I could always enter one more.

Matt Hearson-Ellis 1 - 3 Manny Sant

Manny finished the season in style making a cracking 74 break in the third frame.
Manny had taken the first frame with Matt only getting a couple of pots, however Matt hit back in the next frame nicking it on the colours.
Manny won the close final frame to give him a chance of winning the league.

Well played Manny - great break that should have been more but for that missed blue when trying to get position to the last red on the baulk cushion!

Looking forward to next season - Mike see what you can do with that handicap though - 14 is too low for me!

Well done manny on that 74 break, you always tell me you cant see ! How do you manage these breaks if you cant see?
