Gotham 236  v 185  Bci B

Enjoyable nights snooker, even though it was still a little on the cold side at Gotham HQ.

The Pairing of Howard/Burrows up 1st,Howard getting in 1st with a small 17 only to miss an easyish black which woulda continued what looked like being a much bigger break.Burrows potting well, and playing some good safety to help keep the frame tight.Paul Bell was 'one-ing' us to death', (his fave' saying) lol,he could only manage to pot single reds, and struggled, but to be fair hadnt played on this table before.James potted some very good long single balls and managed some colours after reds too,but not really capitalizing when in.For both pairs tho',it was difficult in gettin' any decent breaks, due to many balls ending up on the cushions.Paul did manage to pot the final brown to record his 1st colour . . .Unlucky James/Paul . . .

Griffiths/Kent playing well together and really helping each other out,a drawn out frame, and Toby and Ashley were out in front for quite a time, until some fouls helped get the Gotham pair back in contention, which perked up the pair and pots soon started to flow. But the bci pair came back again too,and at the end of the frame after the final black was potted, the scores were equal, well played both pairs . . .

Finally,Kirkman/Burrows really struggling in the early part of the frame, and were way behind and only on 5 points,it looked like Bci B were gonna walk it,but an error with Nick to play saw him get the Gotham pair back in nicely with a well taken 23 break, which shoulda been more but for a missed pink, there was 3 easy reds lying in wait and the break of 23 coulda got into the 40's,but that's alot of ifs and buts.Still,Gotham back in running, and almost immediately from a shot by Daniel let Nick in for a 17 break, and now put Nick and Richard in front, needing only yellow and green to seal a win on points, which the pair did.Mick and Daniel both conceded with blue, pink and black remaining, both Mick and Daniel, both potted some great balls in this frame, but with some bad running, and not quite in the form i know they can play in,shook the hands of the Gotham pair, and accepted defeat in good spirit . . .

Great playing BCI B,unlucky on the night, but great playing you all the same, good luck for the rest of your season lads . .

  :bravo:
