Pegasus warmed up for next weeks crunch match with Arnold Civil Defence ?A? with a 6-2 win over bottom club Sherwood Social Club ?B?.  Chris Brooks looked a little rusty after the Christmas break in his win over Sherwood?s Gareth Evans whilst Jamie Mathers prooved too strong for Paul Bell.  Encouraged by his recent venture onto the high break board Scott Bates managed to notch up his first league win since mid-October to make it three nil.  The partnership of Chris Brooks and Jamie Mathers then won the doubles frame to give Pegasus a four-nil home leg win.  At Sherwood Chris Piech couldn't find his recent form as he struggled over the line whilst Sherwood?s Mick Salton had a 22 clearance to beat Mike Langdon in a good quality match. It was Andy Fitton who really shone for the Sherwood team though. Fitton scored over a hundred points in his frame against Steve Booth, which included an excellent 46 break. The reliable partnership of Chris Piech and Mike Langdon then tied the leg with victory over Mick Salton and Andy Fitton to give Pegasus an overall 6-2 win.
