ENGLISH REGIONAL JUNIOR TOUR EVENT 4

North ? Northern SC, Leeds
Sanderson Lam, Leeds made home advantage count by winning the regions 4th Regional Junior Tour defeating Sean Pritchard, Preston in his 2nd series final 2-0.

Lam who did not qualify in the previous event and missed Event 2 climbs seven places to 10th, Pritchard up to 5th from 11th.

Twice winner Elliot Slessor, Gateshead, 661 points remains at No1, John Roberts, Liverpool, 618 points is 2nd both players reaching the semi finals of Event 4 to virtually make certain of promotion to the Premier Junior Tour next season.

Glen Bowman, Gatehead, 442 is 3rd, Jonathan Buglass, 420.5, Hartlepool 4th,
Daniel Womersley, Leeds, 393.5, 6th, Damian Wilks 383, Bradford, 7th
and Jamie Gibson, Lancaster, 381, 8th from 47 players.

Lam finished 2nd in his group behind Womersley who made the day?s highest break 76, Slessor 3rd after losing two matches, Lam then beat Oliver Lines, Zac Barton 2-0 and Roberts 2-1 after losing the first frame.

Pritchard finished 3rd in his group improving to defeat Jack Orrel and Womersley 2-1 and in the semi?s Slessor comfortably 2-0.

Other group winners Barton, Oliver Calland, Chis Keogan, Darryl Hill and Lines with only Thomas Saddington unbeaten.

Midlands ? Willie Thorne SC
Shahrukh Nasir, Birmingham and Nikolas Charalambous, Newmarket are also almost promoted to the PJT next season, Nasir defeated Lewis Mayes, Laindon 2-1 in a late final in Leicester to win his 2nd title on the pink.

Nasir has 722 points, semi finalist Charalambous has 707, 3rd Thomas Kerslake, Derby 551, 4th Mayes, 501,from 8th, 5th Andrew Smith, Bewdley, 481, 6th Callum Downing, 474, 7th Sameer Knight, Leicester, 441 and 8th Phil Parkin, Kenilworth, 411 from 34 players.

The winner only lost one frame in the group stage then overcame Joe O?Connor 2-1, Oliver Brown 2-0 and Charalambous who has not finished out of the last four in any event 2-1.

Mayes accounted for Adam King 2-1, Knight 2-0 and Downing 2-1 who made the regions highest break 105.

Mayes, Smith, James Jelley and Downing all qualified for the last 16 unbeaten, Charalambous lost a match.

South ? Riley?s, Plymouth
Consistent Lawrence Oliver, Milton Keynes has taken over at the top of the rankings  defeating the home towns Michael Grinstead a quarter finalist in the previous three events in his first final 2-1.

Oliver leads on 677 from 42 players, Shane Castle, Southampton, 2nd, 577, Kurtis Weaver, Bristol, 3rd, 545, Grinstead 4th, 542, Sean O?Sullivan, London, 5th, 501.

Ollie Tydeman, Chandlers Ford, 486 who made eight breaks over forty 6th, Mark Green, Salisbury, 481, 7th and Adam Bobat, Fareham 8th, 422 the EASB Under 14 runner up reaching the quarters in the last three events.

Oliver unbeaten in his group winning three of his matches 2-1 then beat Kristian Kelly 2-0, Bobat and Jordan Wimborne 2-1.

Grinstead also unbeaten defeated Billy O?Connor 2-0, rankings leader Shane Castle
2-1 and Mark Green 2-0.

Green and O?Sullivan tied for the South?s highest break of 104.

Along with the finalists unbeaten group winners, Castle, Bobat and Tydeman lost just one frame, O?Sullivan, Grinstead two frames, Oliver three frames.
