LADIES WIN TEAM EVENT

MICHAEL WASLEY RUNNER UP UNDER 19?S


Reanne Evans and Maria Catalano easily won the European Ladies Team title
crushing Russia 2 8-0 in the final the pair only lost three frames in their group matches.
   
All four of the English Under 19 entrants won their group stages Michael Wasley went onto reach the final losing to Luca Brecel, Belgium, age 14, 6-5 on the black after leading three times.

Brecel is youngest ever winner of the event beat Nick Jennings 5-2 in the last eight and Jack Lisowski 5-1 in the semi finals finishing with a 135 break.

Liam Highfield lost 5-2 to Scotland?s Robert Carlisle in the quarter finals.

The venue used housed 120 9 ball tables, 40 Pyramid tables, Carom, Ten Pin Bowling
plus bars, food outlets and other amenities.

Wales won both the Mens and Masters Team events, England, Alan Trigg and Steve Starkie lost in the quarter finals 7-3 to a very strong Welsh side of Darren Morgan and Phil Williams both ex pro?s, Morgan a ex top 16 player.

Wales edged Ireland 10-9 in the Mens final England did not field a team.
