Sherwood Daddies tame the Titans

Sherwood Daddies came out on top with a 4-3 defeat of Beeston Titans.

Clint I'Anson who has been struggling with his form this season came up against last minute replacement Bash Maqsood. In the first frame I'Anson never really got going and Maqsood won the frame quite easily.  In the second frame Maqsood left I'Anson a half chance with a long red which rattled in the jaws of the pocket and left Maqsood in to make a cracking clearence of 56.

Next game up was Lee Crombie vs Neil Jones and the Titans man got off to a great start and finished the game out with a 30 break.  The second frame was a bit of safety exchange between both players until Jones managed to catch the middle knuckle with the white which sent it back down towards the group of reds.  Crombie did not waste any time and knocked in a superb 53 break with the blue, pink and black still left on the table.

In the final game Wayne Bilbie took on Ant McMahon.  The Titans in-form player started the better of the two in first frame and took it by 20+ points.  In the second frame Bilbie played a loose saftey shot and went in-off in the middle pocket.  McMahon then stepped up and made a great break of 53.  He would have had a 60 break which would also have taken the break point but the black rattled accross the rail.
