Arnold again struggling to raise a team managed to send 3 away and waited to see who contended with the weather and turned up at home.

At Beeston
Clint I'ANSON          93    v   Alan CUNNINGHAM                38
Neil JONES             66    v   Andy NICHOLS   46
Ant MCMAHON            51    v   Kirk WESSELBY  51
Neil & Andy SPICER  81    v  A.N. & K.W.       16

1st frame - A.C. opened with a 21 but Clint hit back with a 50 break, scappy in middle and Clint took the final p & b
2nd frame - Neil missed a lot of pots and was winning 66-19 but Andy played well to eventually take all the colours and lose by just 20
3rd frame - Anthony playing in his usual meticulous manner was pegged back by Kirk who had the frame at his mercy - (1)failing to clip the pink in the centre with the black on the brown spot & (2) having potted the pink in the top left went in-off into the yellow bag. Suppose justice was done when Kirk potted the black and levelled the frame.
4th Frame - Think the Arnold pair had lost heart when they knew they had to win the frame by 123.

At Arnold. Sean was left to sort a team out. Knowing that he couldn't use any of the 'A' team as substitutes he recruited his dad, John Kelly, and dragged another member out from his fireside chair Roy WARREN.

Johnny KAREER                71   v  Sean KELLY            34
Shane KIDD                   92   v  John KELLY             14
Tom WALTERS             75   v  Roy WARREN      22
??   ??                    77   v  S.K. & J.K.         38

HANDICAP                 0      HANDICAP        160

                          606                            419

Thanks for submitting the results Alan, it was Johnny Kareer and Tom Walters who played the Pairs frame at Arnold.  I think Andy Spicer had a 46 break in his pairs at Beeston or at least thats what was recorded on the scoresheets.

I didnt hang about too long at Beeston because of the weather. So got most of the info 2nd/3rd hand.

Interesting that Kirk & Ant drew their frame because I have just updated the player averages and didn't know whether to put them down for a win or a loss!  I put them both down for a win in the end because it would be a bit harsh to record it as a defeat.

Congratulations to all of the teams who finished in the top half of their group.  They qualify as follows:

KO Cup Semi-finals (19th January)

Pegasus A (0) v BCI SE (40)
Arnold A (0) v Beeston (0)

KO Plate Semi-finals (19th January)

City Hospital (240) v Oakleigh (240)
Cotgrave (160) v Wollaton RBL (240)

For all the teams that finished in the bottom half of their group, don't worry, there's always the brand new Divisional Cup to play for!
