ENGLISH UNDER 14 QUALIFYING

Three players recorded clean sheets in the eight group qualifying stage of the EASB Under 14?s as the field reduced to 16 players from the 31 entries played at three venues, North, South and Midlands.

Title contender Joel Walker at Northern SC, Leeds, Jordan Winbourne at Chandlers Ford SC and Jordan Rimmer, Willie Thorne?s, Leicester all won their groups with a 9-0 frame score line.

Other group winners Liam Clark after a play off unbeaten Elliott Slessor, Adam Bobat and Sean O?Sullivan who made the events highest break so far a 49 plus Luke Garland again after a play off.

Players in 2nd place who also reach the knockout stage Sunday 9th March at the sponsors venue Northern SC, Leeds are Callum Hegarty, Declan Bristow, Darryl Hill, James Paul age 10, Andrew Foster, Chris Coumbe, young Shane Castle and Haydon Pinhey.

Rob Jones age 10 came within a ball of knocking out a possible finalist Luke Garland in the Midlands qualifier eventually losing out in a play off as all three players beat each other 2-1.
