PLAYED 29TH JANUARY 2010

Frame 1
After my last encounter with good old Barry(don't fret Barry-just joking,ya' not that old really) and winning in my last Phoenix pairs league match against him,i thought it would be another great frame, and to get another win over him, (here comes the BUT . . .),but . . . sadly it wasn't to be on this occasion, the frame was quite close at one point, but what with cue balls goin' 'in-off' and me playing some loose safety it allowed Barry/Ray to win the first frame.Ash potting well when he got in,but just couldn't make the most of his chances either, both of us not up to par!
To be fair, neither Ash or myself really got going
0-1

Frame 2

Much the same in the 2nd,(and what turned out to be the last frame),the Phoenix pair potting what they could, but again neither had the cue ball on a string, and chances went begging.
The highlight of the frame was a nice clearance from Barry of 48,which should really have been 55,just a simple roll along top cush' with the black just a few inches from the top corner pocket, but Ray started talking and saying: (AND I QUOTE), 'Barry will miss this','He never gets these',well he did miss, shouldn't have, whether Ray put him off, remains to be seen, but nonetheless,48 was more than enough to clinch the 2nd frame, still enjoyed playing the pair of them, and Ash and myself were left wondering, where had our form gone?
0-2

On a personal note:
Thankyou Barry for the coaching,i will work dilligently on this, this is probably why my breaks have been breaking down in the 40's/50's,thankyou and say hi to Dawn for me,must pop over and see her soon!!
Very well played to you both, good luck in the next round
:bravo:
