NORTHERN SNOOKER CENTRE
ENGLISH UNDER 16 CHAMPIONSHIP

Four venue?s played in round robin groups whittled the 63 entrants in English Under 16 Championship down to the last 16 the group winners to be played on Saturday March 8th at the sponsors venue Northern SC, Leeds.

Midlands - Rushden SC, Northants
Three players recorded clean sheets during the day Tom Maxfield led the way with a brilliant new personal best break of 128 for a 6-0 scoreline.
Callum Downing won all of his 9 frames and James Jelley all his 6 played, Jordan Rimmer 9-4 edged out Luke Garland 3-2 to claim the 4th place.

Yorkshire & North West - Northern SC, Leeds
EASB junior event winner and International Daniel McCann cruised through his group winning 12 of this 13 frames with eight breaks over forty topped by a 65.
Joel Walker with a 9-1 verdict, Luke McEvoy 12-4 and the highest break 73, T.Saddington 9-3 and Darryl Hill from the Isle of Mann 6-2 made up the other four quaifiers.
Jake Nicholson made four breaks over forty in McEvoy?s group but could only manage 3rd place.

North East - Hartlepool SC
Ex Under 14 Champion Sam Craigie easily qualified 9-1 and was the only player to make a break over forty just a lone 47.
Other players through unrelated Thomas Clark 9-2 and Ryan Clark 8-3.

South ? Chandlers Ford SC
Danny Douane 12-2, George Marter 9-1 and Billy Castle 9-2 had little trouble qualifying in Hampshire.
William Blackmore constructed the highest break a 55 but finished 4th behind Castle.
