Singles League  Chris Winter 0  Jamie Moore 4

The much awaited outstanding fixture was played at Arnold Civil Defence on Wednesday 24/02.

First frame Moore broke and after a few safety exchanges Winter played an aggressive safety shot sending one red into a bunch of reds and one somehow went in and left him plum on the blue with reds everywhere- however Winters only made 23 and then there was quite a bit of tactical play until Moore struck a 32 in mid frame after winter had missed a long black when maybe he should have taken a straightforward brown. this left moore 12 up on the last red where winters potted a great final red and a good pink finishing perfet on the yellow which he potted along with the green to level the score, however he left himself a longer brown than he probably should have which he missed and moore cleared up to take the crucial first frame.

Second frame saw moore take control of the frame in the middle with a 30 odd and going 45 up on the last red which winters then conceded. During the frame Winter missed an easy black when he looked set to score.

Third frame saw Moore continue to dominate with good safety and with the help of some uncharacteristic errors from Winters. Moore again with the help of a 42 went 44 up on the last red and when Winters played a poor safety and Moore potted it Moore asked if Winters wanted to concede the frame however Winters said carry on so Moore cracked a good blue in and cleared the table for 3-0.

Fourth frame saw Winter start well with a 20 odd and built a lead of 30 however Moore struck with a 55 to put him 38 up on the brown where Winters then conceded to give him a 4-0 win.

for whatever reason Winters missed a few he should not have and Moore took full advantage.

May I add that the table at Arnold Civil Defence was undoubtably the best I have played on this season, the conditions were first class.

Well played James, sounds like you played some solid stuff against Nottingham's in-form player.
Looking favourite for the title now - 6 points clear.

Massive win for you James. :bravo:

Makes the match between Nav and Stu vital for both of them.  Defeat for either would be curtains for their title hopes I'm guessing.  No pressure though.

I agree James.  We played our doubles match on it after yours and I commented on how nice it was.  I also love the fact that there is plush carpet on the floor, very nice!
