Stadium 3  Beeston 5

Away team won 3-1
See Ross's post for details.

Home team lost 4-0
Pete Gormley letting Clint I'Anson off the hook going into the colours, laying a snooker behind pink and Clint potting yellow off
the cushion and finishing plumb on the green!  Clint potting an easy peazy lemon squeezy pink to win a tough frame.
Pete 47 Clint 65 (22)

Matt Hearson-Ellis straight from work and an exotic honeymoon beckoning hit an in form 'Rocket Tom' Walters who rattled in
the quickest 42 break in Nazareth House history.  So quick I didn't have time to blow my nose whilst reffing!
Matt 43 Tom 77 (42)

Danny (the owner) played Ant (no Dec) McMahon with Ant running out an easy winner.
Danny 49 Ant 87 (20)

Matt & Pete v Clint & Tom, Clint producing a high quality 51 to seal a good win for Beeston
Matt & Pete 15 Clint & Tom 64 (51)

Barry in Spain was certainly missed tonight - let's hope he's not sunburnt!

Ross Wilkin

At Beeston,
Ross Wilkin won his singles frame against Andy Hopcroft.
Bob Walker then made a great 49 break reply straight after Andy Spicer's 31 break to take the frame.
Danny Di Folco had a tough frame against Neil Jones with the luck going against him but did enough to make sure of the frame.
In the doubles, visitors Bob and Ross didn't do a lot wrong but Neil jones made a sizeable break (I think 49) towards the end to make sure the frame was theirs.

Interesting point matey you finishing 3rd last season, 2nd this season and potential winners next year! As I think we finished 2nd last year and this year have gone on to win!

The Nhsl has reached a fantastic standard now where it's become very interesting as far as who will win the next league as there are so many good strength teams more the capable of winning and seriously challanging for the title.

Questions like Will Arnold Cd get there hands back on the title? Or Will Beeston go one better and win? Or will Pegasus start to produce the big results we all know they can? Or will my Team Bci Super Elites pick up where Arnold Cd left off and dominate 1,2,3 or more years? Or will Super Steve Butler's New Table be the turning point for the "Ice stadium" to go on and win? Or newly promoted Nottingham Uni make  a big impression in the top flight?

The Million Dollar Question still is the Nhsl Format change!!! Will we ever know or is it the end of the road!?

Thanks again Kwok, yes it should be another great season when it starts up again i can't wait.
Interesting you mentioned Arnold CD not getting there hands on the title this year but i think credit goes out to the teams around them ho have a lot of strength and depth this season and have done really well.I'm sure Arnold will be back fighting next season along with us and pegasus and also stadium ho have had a few good draws this season that could have easily been wins.

Ps, thanks Mike for congratulating us on finishing runner-up forgot to mention it on the last post.

well played beeston, congrats on the runners up spot.
next season will be an arnold team without me, as im sick of the politics at the club, when every other team is looking at strengthening up there teams and doing so,  arnold are not prepared to let new quality experienced players in . so sadly all you other teams are setting the standard for next season, well done bci on a great winning run this season, thoroughly desererved.

Cheers Gaz ;)

I understand your frustration! Arnold CD are and have been a Quality team for years and have dominated the Nhsl league season after season! Personally I love seeing new records set by teams or individuals dominating the sport as it raises the level and sets new standard for other future teams and individuals to aspire to! Allot of credit must go to Arnold Cd for setting this standard, that's why it's such a shame to hear your leaving Gaz as your part of Arnolds history and great achievements!!!

Despite a fantastic season my Super Elites Team have enjoyed, not only winning the league and cup in the Nhsl but in the Bdsl and the on the verge of doing the job lot it in the Nnia league too! I do believe the general standard of players and teams have gone up and therefore you can't afford to be too casual in your approach as you'll be just left behind! It'll be a fantastic and amazing achievement to win all three league and cups in all three Nott's league in one season so finger crossed history is made!!! But should we go on to achieve our goals, we'd still have to press on and try even harder next season If we are to progress further as a team not to mention become the new target as
there are many great teams hot on our heals!

It's been a huge United effot by my team and a great turnaround for Bci Snooker Centre!  Though it's always nice and helps by having a good strong team, I believe you can have allot of quality player in any team but if your ALL not pulling in the same direction it's no guarantee you will achieve your goals! Team spirit is very important and then winning becomes natural! Words from a great captain

On paper it was always going to be a tough and challenging Nhsl season, Pegasus looked the stongest team by far with Great players coming from Peoples Hall, and Wayne joining them! Beeston team always strong and addition of "Super Steady Ant" making it even more steady and strong, Arnold Cd well you'll be a fool to ever write them off with such great record in this league! Bci Super Elites Had huge question marks over them after the departure of Wayne and a change in personnel lastmin.com Not to mention Stadium who always proven to be more than a challenge for the top teams!

Ant - Well like I said in the earlyer post the Nhsl has reached a intresting level now where any of the teams can go on to win the league now which would be very intresting to say the least BUT....! A Change in the Nhsl Format could spell the end of the road for the great Nhsl  league challenge as it may cause a huge divide in the league with the new 3/4player team AND the 6/8player team taking place at the same time!

Thanks again for your comments Kwok yes i hope the league remains as it is come next season, most of the players views and opinions at Beeston are not in favour of the change in format.

Gaz sorry to hear about you wanting to depart for Arnold next season it seems odd why the club does not want to strengthen there current sqaud for next season.

most of the players views and opinions at Beeston are not in favour of the change in format.

That's a bit worrying considering the survey result from Beeston was 1 vote YES and 1 vote NO suggesting a 50/50 split of opinion.  Are you saying there is now a majority who want to keep the format unchanged?

Don't you think having the two formats running side by side will work?

Nav Hussain

Steve, i hope the new format goes ahead as with alot of younger players wanting this kind of format. I only can see it being very successful , more frames the better !!!!

Hi Steve,
I was there the night everyone voted for or against the new format. Im pretty sure it was around 6 against the change and 1 for. More frames better yes...but we went on the view of the banter/laughs disappearing in the new format, with 2 small teams each. I think the fun of the night would go in the new format....for Beeston anyway.
