BCI Super Elites "Star Man" Jason Bettridge got off to a dream start in this years Notts Amateur Championship final by taking the first three frames over a very talented Dave Jobling to open a 3-0 advantage. Jobling showed some great class with a spirited comeback reeling off the next two frames making it 3-2. A terrific 50 Break by Bettridge in frame six was enougth to see him rowned this year's champion.

Well done Jason Bettridge, crowned Notts Amateur Champion at his very first Attempt.

Jason (who entered the competition for the first time) enjoying the run of the balls raced into a 3-nill lead with a top break of 46 in the second frame.

David who had struggled in the early frames pulled 2 frames back with good potting & cue ball  control.

In the sixth frame Jason started with a fine 32 before losing position and playing a good safety.

Dave potted a good long red but the cue ball finished in the back of the pack. After two misses he hit the black but left Jason a red into the centre pocket.

Jason then with a lot of composure scored a 51 break to win the frame & match.
