Well done Sean I thought you played incredible tonight. I can't complain one bit I was out-played and out-classed through and through.
Your cueing was superb hence the great positional play and tactically I couldn't compete with your safety even though I was trying too.
Your all round game as improved 100% since the last time we played your a total different player and I think within the next 12 months you will be up there with the likes of Wayne, Jason and Jamie etc.

I was impressed mate I hold my hands up I played pretty decent, not great but no excuses I don't think I would have won against you in that kind of form at anytime. I was out-classed.

I will be shocked if you lose another match in Division 1 this season and now you are top of the league or thereabouts its in your hands.

Good Luck mate see you in 2 weeks for the NNIA league match. :welldone: :bravo: ;)

It was surely no easy win for me and i know i had to be playing well playing on a table ive only ever had 1 frame on, But on the night i was defonatly in the mood for snooker. I hope i can carry it on mate and hopefully lift the trophy but theres been plenty of slip ups in the league and still plenty more to come!

Sean Hopkin 3-1 Jamie Sampson

First frame Jamie got off to a solid start, Sean always playing catch up and Jamie knocked in a fantastic 40 to seal it. Second frame Sean knew he didnt have a easy match. Sean potting well takes the frame. 3rd frame both players playing ok, Sean having alot of run and evenually running out winner. 4th frame pressure on, Jamie takes a good lead with 2 reds left, Sean then pots both reds with colours and yellow, then misses green. Sean evenually potting green, Sean then leaves Jamie a half chance on brown, Jamie flukes the brown and also to see the white roll in, Sean then pots brown, blue to go 17 in front with 13 on. Jamie then gets a great snooker on the pink but i good escape from Sean. Few shots later Sean pots the pink to seal the win.

Hard Luck Jamie, I had alot of run in the 2nd and 3rd frame, 4th frame could of gone either way, Good luck with the rest of the season mate!!!!!

A great result for you Sean almost in the bag after a totally desecrated league which is now turned into a joke.
I go away for a week only 4 points off the top with every chance of still winning it and I come back to see I have been demoted to the bottom. Why the results of the  first half of the season couldn't stand i'll never know if a football match is abandoned at half-time the half-time result stands.

In this instance it's worse because of the results in the first half season has given the bottom 4 players no chance at all putting us out of reach of trying to catch up. Waste of time money and effort such a shame, it was the best league to be involved in as well.

Just one example: you lost against Ant 4- 0 , and Steve Mike and myself got draws so the 2 points and frame diff for you was a help and top of that us three all conceded a further point so putting us effecively 3 points adrift and worse off with the frame diff.

Mathematically I could have won before the change but probably wouldn't have who knows?. The point is...is it worth carrying on to the end of the season after all that effort has been taken away from the first half of the season.

Wish I'd Stayed on holiday

I will play to the end of the season because I love playing snooker and I will never drop out of a team or league during the season but you can't help feeling you have lost heart in it when this happens.

Just one thing to add if I decided to drop out of the league today, how will that equate to the standings of the league?
It wouldn't look very good.

Aup Nick!

I could be here forever talking about the situation, But too sum it up i just think its disgusting how the've commieted there selfs into something and havn't seen it through, they should not be aloud in it again in my opion. I feel for you because i know theres not a chance you can win the league now but before hand there was always that chance you could, but like you say 'anything can happen'

I spoke to Mike about it the other day and i suppose the good thing is nobody is going to be relagated in division 1. No matter how bad life is surely they must have the time to go out for 2 hours to play 4 frames, They can arrange the matches to when suits them.. But whats done is done now Nick and i hope you dont scoop to there standard and drop out. Just see the season through now and make sure you win it next year.

See you tomorow mate!

;)

Nick Kirkman

OMG!!! your not coming tomorrow are you

I haven't picked up a cue since we last played but that might be a good thing ;)

Yes I agree with you it's disgusting and we can go on and on about this forever, just have to put a line through it.

Well done in the Cup as well. If we get another away draw ill be miffed,  I think we have had one home draw in the past three seasons, I think someones forgetting its the exact same distance for us to go to there place as well as them coming to us but we shall see.

See you tomorrow.

Yeah mate, I shall be coming tomorow... Maybe i might play you then:-)

I know you would never scoop down to there level mate, But its not Steve or Mikes fault, When they dropped out Steve just did what he had to do with the fixtures, it even lost him a few points to which is a shame. Its still going to go down to the wire anyway i think!

Its just the luck of the draw i suppose!!

Mike Langdon

Hi Nick. Yeah really sorry about the drop-outs, it's so frustrating and I'm devastated about it. This league had been brilliant with not only an exciting title race but also a fascinating relegation dog fight building up. Myself and Steve work really hard to promote the singles league and it's really damaging to the image when players drop out no matter how good their reasons are.

I totally understand your feelings of 'what's the point' and can only apologise for basically selling a product that's faulty.

I still believe we're in for an exciting finish and I'm sure you'll still have a big say in the final outcome, sadly not in the way you had hoped after losing your hard earned points.

The reason the points were scratched is due to some played Cary or Ant away whilst others enjoyed home advantage. Personally I'm happy with re-stating these results but perhaps we need to check with everyone else first.

Apologies once more

Mike

Aup Mike, Its certainly not your fault. I dont think you sold a 'faulty product' because its not your fault and you didnt know half way through the season 2 players was going to drop out. Like you say the points had to be scratched because of the home and away advantage, I had to play Ant at beeston and as everybody knows its such a tuff venue to play at and get a result. I think the league needs to stay how it is now and just see it through and be careful who you let in the league again next year,
