Pegasus responded from their recent disappointments in a spirited and positive manner, an emphatic 7-1 victory over third placed BCI Snooker Centre.  At Pegasus Chris Brooks knocked in a 38 break as he enjoyed his second victory this season against former professional Wayne Martin. Jamie Mathers who is playing some great snooker at the moment knocked in a 78 break in the pre-match warm up and proved to be too strong for BCI?s Jonathan Mason.  Kwok Yip responded for BCI with a comfortable win over Steve Booth but this was to be their only success of the match.  Jamie Mathers and Chris Brooks won comfortably in the pairs helped in large to an excellent 50 break from Brooks to give the home leg a 3-1 win. Bulwell Chuch Institute has not been a happy hunting ground in the past for the Pegasus away leg (those pesky tight pockets!), but all three players put in solid performances.  Chris Piech won comfortably against Neil Elliott helped by a 27 break whilst a 21 break from Scott Bates along with some good safety ensured victory over BCI?s Shaun Parkinson.  Mike Langdon having lost his previous three matches had a welcome win against Steve Coleman. A timely 23 break put him ahead going into the colours and an excellent long yellow left Coleman at the snooker?s required stage, which proved to be enough.  The doubles frame had an exciting finish with BCI?s Steve Coleman sinking Pink and Black to force a re-spot.  The Pegasus pairing of Piech and Langdon won the all-important toss and elected BCI to play the first shot. Coleman who hadn?t enjoyed the best of luck all evening got a horrible double kiss to gift Langdon a simple pot and give the Pegasus away leg an impressive four nil victory.

A good night for Chris BROOKS considering he also beat Gary SPENCER in the handicap singles. The league result must put you back on top with your frames total but Arnold still have a game in hand.

Yep a good night all round.  Really proud at the way the lads dusted themselves down and put in a great team performance.  Gonna need a few more results like this one though if we have any hopes of pipping your lot to the title....but a good start.  I think your still top on frame difference to be honest but the table is certainly looking a lot healthier after last night.
