Hi all

I lost in the group stages at the seniors. I had consistent regular 40, 50 breaks throughout the day but it's just wasn't enough. My only consolation was a 2-1 win over Steve Judd. This was the 3rd time i ever played him. One about 20 odd years ago when he beat me 3-0 in 25 mins and once a last month when he beat me 2-1.

I  have always said, that there's no point beating the top dogs if you don't go on to do damage. As I failed to do any damage it really takes the gloss off the win.

Nevertheless, ii am pleased with my current form. I like to thank you Steve for the forum because it helps to get these losses out your system. I said said previously, it is like a self diagnostic counselling service.

I am not sure if Gary got through his group.

I came back and thought i pass through bci to see how the S&S handicap was going. Shortly after arriving i seen Zeb and Nav exiting the competition. Look like a bad day at the office (or should i say the corner shop) for the ethnics. Not to worry lads, tomorrows another day - back to the 24 hour corner shop !!

It was nice to catch up with some of the old school at bci - had some good banter there.

I am sure S&S will be giving the full report shortly.

Cheers all

Lost both my matches bash. Couldn't pot a geranium today . The tables were worse than crap. Always having to hit the ball hard to get anything out of it. Never good having to overhit the ball. All accuracy goes out the window.

I tend not to mention things like that because people always view it as making excuses. I know exactly what you mean Gary. I've never had to hit balls so hard to get little movement. It was hard work and very difficult conditions to play in. Not sure which Twat chose that as a venue.

We have every reason to complain about the venue bash. It truly was a disgrace. I know steve can hit balls hard sometimes but god how hard was he having to hit them today.? The game is about finesse around the balls. Which on our day we have. Yourself very much so mate. Great to watch when your on it.

cheers Gaz - i am not too upset. i think with age i can take losses a lot better (probably cause they happen more often).
As i say, i know i am cueing well at the mo, so i just view it as a hic up.

The tournament director sends a report on each tournament to the EASB directors.  Any complaints from players about playing conditions are fed back and taken into account when selecting venues in the future.

You have to bear in mind though that there are few venues nationally that have nice tables.  Northern Snooker Centre is clearly the best but even the likes of Willie Thorne's in Leicester has gone downhill of late.

I look forward to seeing the full results from Seniors Tour 3 and as soon as I get them I'll put them on the EASB website.

Personnally I think all the region events for this neck of the woods should be either at clay cross or northern snooker centre. It's understandable willies is not upto it's usual standard .
