With the exciting Betfreds world championships snooker 2011 rapidly approaching on the snookering  calender, i thought it would be a good new idea for snooker enthusiasts of Nottingham to do our very own sweepstake for the world championships 2011!!!

Now we have the final 32 players that make up this years first round draw, i thought it would be a great ideal time to start a sweepstake!!!

Although i would love to have a £5 stake to boot the prize pot, i thought it's best to keep it fun and friendly to everyone! So i was thinking "Friendly £3!"

HOW IT WORKS.....?
£3 x 32 = £96 Total Prize Pot
Winner £40
Runner Up £20
Semi Finalist £10
Semi Finalist £10
Highest Break £16
Total Prize Pot £96!!!

This will simply work on a first come first serve basis, Pay your £3 and you are in the 2011 world championship sweepstake draw! I think to give everyone a chance to get a piece of the action i will have to restrict one play per person so we have a ray of different players in the hat!!!

Once the 32nd £3 is finally collected and all the £96 Total prize Money is all collected, then and only then the draw will be made!!! The draw will take place a week before the world championships which starts on 16th April!!! The Draw will be made @ BCI snooker centre, my great trusted Bci Super Elites Team mates like James Moore, Barry Stark, Bash Maqsood, Jason Bettridge will do the draw on the night!!! The draw will be put online under this post so you will all know which professional is playing for you throughout the world championships!!!

There are only 32 places so once they are gone they are gone. Please feel free to register your interests and thoughts... Please Note your place is not Guaranteed Unless i have received and have confirmed online that you are in!!!

I'll be the first to put £3 in

Kwok, count me in. I backing Stephen lee. I got a further 50 quid on him at 150/1.

Just had a game of darts at bci and got a fantastic 44 dart finish against Jo. Ended on my favourite double - double 1.

Can't play it to save my life, but love to watch it.

Me and Sean got serious tip problems. I think I found one I now like, but mind you, I said that about the other 9 I put on since last week. Very frustrated at mo. Hopkins on his 5th this week. Every time I see him he's changed his tip.

Nav it's your fault after introducting us to the taliban.

Now seams really messed up, but I'm ok cause o was messed up anyway.

NAV! what have you done to me lol! Put a talisman tip on friday night, Went yesterday for a half an hours pratice before i played Chris Clark, Still didnt make my mind up while i was praticing, When i played Chris we have play for like 3-4hours, Couldn't get any breaks put together, Bash walked in and i thought, 'just the man i need' the tip was off in no time, I suppose they suit certain players and its defonatly not me, Just felt like by the time it got shaped and everything there wasnt much left of the tip.

The pressures getting to me big time, Big tournment next saturday and dont want to go there knowing im going to be knocked out because im not prepared. Bash come and get god to give me some of his magic powers!! Anyway after i got home after playing chris clark, Around 4:30ish, Sat down couldn't get this tip problem out my head.. What happened next...? I went back down to bci at 7:45 to try this new tip. Only had 2 frames but had 2 nice breaks in both frames, Hopefully this tip is the one, Might have a day off though because as Bash said to me, Im playing far too much at the minuite knowing ive got this big tournment coming up next saturday.

Hows your tip now Bash.. Sorry i didn't say much to you before i went from the club yesterday, This tip buisness is recking my head big time!!!! only 7 days to go!!!

See you soon.

as you say Sean, the talisman tip may suit certain players and not others. I personally found them too hard and lost the "feeling" in the shot. I initially only thought about using them because i heard they last a lot longer than an elkmaster. However, for me personally, i dont think its suitable. The tip, as you know is so important, and so i think i will stick to elkmaster.

As for mine Sean, i am happy with it. I had a few frames with the "bci ghost of table 7" and would say i was very happy with it and played well. Once its bedded in proper i should be on form again. Watch out lads !!!!

Listen lads, talisman tips may be ok for one player then another, but most players are moving away from single layered tips. You will not get used to talisman tips right away as they are much stronger then elk and blue diamond. But after a week with it, you will get used to them. Ronzo wouldn't use em if they were poor or Higgins wouldn't use kuumi tips and they cost more then talisman at 9 pound per tip. Eventually you will see the light my fellow snooker players .

stop it Nav, me and Sean are only just coming over the taliban episode, we would rather not joint the african tribe Kuumi Kuumi "Kinta Kinta -- Sean's really upset now because his granddad just beat him 4-0 at bci this morning .

His next match is with kunta kinta in the African Jungle - but from what i remember from "roots" i think Kunta Kinta had lost his hand 9or was it foot) and will be playing with one of Nav's Kuumi kuumi Tips - so i think you may win that one sean
