I am sorry about this , i got all my facts confused again. firstly i would like to say thatmy tip is now playing lovely. First time ever i have felt happy with a new tip within 3 days - normally it takes me 2 -3 weeks.

Anyway, just won the chesterfuiled comp and beat ashley walker 4 -1 in the final. I thinkl that the q - school experience has given me a lot more self belief in my own ability and i was so so happy the way i played in the final.

I really did have only 4 hours sleep and was not confident with my tip , and to be honest went down for some cheap snooker with the intentuion of bedding in my tip. i never thought in a month of sundays i would win it.

Anyway, well done.

It's a very strange club because some tables play abosolutly awful and others play quite well.

If you're telling the truth Bash, then very well done mate!

If you're kidding, then who really won?

EDIT - just seen on TSF that you are indeed telling the truth Bash. Well done mate.  Also well done to Kwok for reaching yesterday's final and to Sean Hopkin who made a 14 red and colour 85 break!

:bravo: :bravo:

:welldone: Bash, a superb performance against a quality Ashley! What a final, it was quality mate blow for blow!!! Great to see you Buzzing again matey keep it up!!!    :bravo:

Congrats to Ashley on his superb 111 break against me, Top stuff  :bravo:

Congrats Sean for a superb 85 Break 14 Reds also against me, Top stuff  :bravo:

Steve - Cheers M8 it's been a great comp for the notts lads winning majority 5/6 trophies!!!
I'm so glad I went it's a awsome venue and highly recommended!!! I was happy I got as far but gutted I ran out of steam & concentration in the final in what was a very very long day of snooker!!! Especially K'o out snake mate 3-1 after knocking in that fantastic 85 break gutted!!!

Went to the comp with no form, but got some superb results in key match when not looking possible!!! Funny a chap I played in day two said he thought I was a hustler as I played shocking in the first frame then turned it on with quality "quote" Not missing a ball in the next & upped to top gear with advanced safety!!! I said to him honestly that's me Tut! Tut!! Tut!!! Great in patches, won 3-0 yesterday to qualify against a lad called Lee who was the on fire!!! It brought out the best in me 50 break first visit in frame one and constant 20's & 30's+ every visit!!! Talk about jackle and hide, I don't know answers on post card......?

It's been a great weekend of snooker thanks to Dwayne and Dave who did a fantastic job  :bravo:

Cheers kwok matey. As I say, the q school given me. Bog lift in confidence.  Well done to yours and Hopkins performance also. Although I will be having words with Hopkins some time this week about his mental approach to games.

Anyway, slept so well last night. The last time I slept that well was when I was in my mothers womb at 7 months. My balls and knob had just about developmed and so I had something to keep me entertainmed.

Now I know you guys, on a serious note, I will let yo in to a health condotion of mine which only my family know. I genuinely suffer from very bad insomnia. O have had the problem for years. I don't take medication for it ad I don't want to have a dependency.  If anyone does know any natural medicines or treatments then any help will ne apprecited.

That's why I am up at funny hours doing strange things. That's why I prefer to travel alone to competitions because I take a blanket with me and try and arrive very early as I  may need a sudden map at any time and I really got to take any sleep I can.  Seriously, a policemen once thought I was dead in the car as I was asleep in some laybye with a blanket over me and my cue next to me. Disabled toilets are the best as at least I can lock myself in and be more comfortable than in the car. At the q school I only felt fresh on just one of my games and for me, to feel like that was. Lovely. Normally, when I play matches I am generally tired most of the time. As I say, if anyone does have any remedies then do let me know.

Finally, snooker is a great game. I did have a few people at the comp yesterday asking me yo join their snooker forums. I said I will think about it as I already have half of nottingham after ne and may well having half the country after me.

Cheers all, Bash

Thanks Steveie matey.
I do fun sometimes but I tell the truth most of the time. I swear, that's the truth !

Somebody once said to me to get somewhere in life you have to lick peoples arses somewhere down the line. I said, eerrrr, I'm not doing that. Perhaps that's why I am sitting in the large washing machine box trying to ignore the world. Best thing is my baby girl. Just waiting for nursary to finish and will then pick her up. That's the best part of my world when I am being a big kid with her.
Thank you.
Still waiting for any cures for insomnia.

Congrats to you all and thanks for attending my first ever attempt at organising any kind of event, didn't go too badly given I had all of about 12 hours max to publicise the event, as was clear, I winged it a bit as I had no choice really.

I now have a year to sort it out for next season as I have an agreement with the club for roughly the same time next season (This is flexible as I don't want it to clash with with any other event around the country!)

One thing is for certain, I've changed the name from  the TSF Tournament (Because I got fuck all hel from them and I ain't publicising that site free of charge fwhen they're not prepared to help me!) to the N.E.D.S.C Tournament (Because they were very accomodating to us all and helped a lot!)

Nice that 3 of the trophies were won by players who play at the first place I ever played snooker and one was won by somebody who plays on the same team as me!!!!! (not rigged honest!).

I'll be in touch once I've got the trophies engraved and as I'm looking to make it a much bigger event next year I'm going to let you keep these and get some bigger shinier ones for next year (Should please Bash as he was eying Daves up all day!!!!) to go with much bigger cash prizes too to try and attract more folk to enter!

I stupidly played and lost my 3rd final of the season tonight with a seriously bad cricked neck and can now hardly move my head at all (Off to see the Chiropractor tomorrow!). Still I gotta be happy with that after not playing for 15 years!

Catch you all soon

Dwayne

Bash,

You were buzzing in that final.  The match would not have been out of place on TV.  Great stuff!  Here's your stats, by the way...

cheers Andy matey, glad you enjoyed watching the final. When i am cueing like that the game really is deceptive. It looks so easy at times and at other times the most basic shot is missed - that's just the great fascination of the wonderful game.

Your stats link is not working. Pehaps have a word with steve butler to sort it out.

By the way, i am ok today, ready for a hard days work and hopefully the bee gees can keep up their losing run tonight. Come on bee gees, we haven't lost 6-0 yet, so lets try for that result tonight.
