Thanks guys for the compliments. Before the tourney started, I did say to myself "cmon , its about time you hit a century". After potting the first two reds, I really did go for it and never felt any pressure on the remaining colours. I did make my highest break a month ago of 133 in a friendly match, but this had to be the best especially in tournament play. However, well done to Chris piech, who end up winning 2-1.

Also a big congratulations to tom who played some solid snooker throughout the day and also hanzla who had few UP'S and DOWNS in his matches  ;)

Just for curiosity, I was looking for the official 6 reds rule and couldn't actually find any reference to placing the cueball anywhere you wish after your opponent has committed a foul. All I could find is that you get white ball in hand  and "in hand" was defined as anywhere in the "D". Hence, just wondering how and when this rule come about. Thank you all for being friendly.

On a seperate point, It's ok. I won't go on to that.

The rules were amended by the IBSF in December 2010.  I emailed a copy to all team captains on 11th May.  Here is a link to the rules:

The rule changes are highlighted in red.

cheers for that steve, just one more thing though about 6 red.

lets say player A is 40 points behind with one red left on and obviously need 2 snookers. He lays a snooker and player fails to get out of it so Player A is now 36 behind. Does Player Still get free table and can he place the white anywhere on the table.

i.e what i am getting at is do you still get the opportunity to put the white anywhere on the table after a foul by your opponent even when snookers are required??

Thank you for listening to me. By the way the PTC draws will be on the site on monday or tuesday

According to the rules, it can never be a free table when snookers are required.
