Maqsood was in great form all day in  overcoming some tough opponents and claiming the £150 first prize.

In the final Maqsood defeated Nav Hussain 3 nil, Hussain took away £70 for his runner-up spot.

Losing semi finalists were Sean Hopkin (3-1 to Maqsood) and Wayne Martin (3-1 to Hussain).
Both players received £50 for reaching the last four.

Highest break of the competition was a brilliant 135 from Hussain, sadly there was no break prize this year. But this was a brilliant effort in one of the earlier rounds.

Steve Butler

Congratulations to Bash, a deserved champion.  The money will come in handy as he is currently running his taxi business at a loss!

Also very well done to Nav.  There was going to be a highest break prize until he made that unbeatable 135 break and then the tournament director ditched the prize due to him having more money than Malc Belshaw.  Perhaps now he has another £70 burning a hole in his pocket he may decide to sponsor an NBSA competition next season!

I'm glad Sean has won a few quid too - he is now more likely to repay his debts to me.

Most deserving of a prize though is Wayne.  Fantastic job running the Order of Merit this year and giving up hours of his own time to chase players and input reports, rankings etc onto the website.  Well done Wayne!

:-*

(Hope to see a few of you at Spot On Bulwell on 24th December for the Christmas Tournament.  Spot On will be providing tables free of charge so all entry fees will be distributed as prize money.  Full details to follow soon)

I just put this on Derby forum:

Hello Toby, Hope you are keeping well. I am just posting this message today just to remind you that we are playing on wednesday. We start at 7.p.m. I just thought i be nice and let you know.

You know i work nights and this is a busy time of year for me. As such , we start at 7 and I should quite comfortably beat you 5 nil by say, 9.pm, so i can get to work asap. You are an inconvenience to me working. I will try for 8.30 p.m but you i will allow you a quick nappy change when i go 4-0 up.

I just about kicked everyone's ass today by winning the pego comp in Nottingham so my confidence is back where it was a while ago - very far up my rear end.

Please do take care of yourself between now and wednesday. I am sure i will leave you with fond memories of our TV meeting. i am parying for you and Will and Jimmy as i write.

May the Lord bring you much happiness , but not at the gotham Matchroom.

Please, mind how you go in the Fog

Cheers ross, just remember, your always close to my heart and i think of you most of the time.

In fact, a mate of mine just told me that your mrs caught you in bed with fatima Whitbread. Apparently, you told her, "it's not what your thinking love, it's a women".

Bash

I do apologise for my current state of being.

Nav Hussain

Just thought I put some feedback in regards to the nottingham order of merit. I let bash win this one as he was really upset last time I thrashed him at bci comp. Other then that he is a sound guy and is not that bad as everyone such as bob think he is. I love the way bash concentrates when he plays me, I'm just there wacking balls about and bash is doing an action plan on how to beat me, well done bash on your given victory and many thanks to wayne for the unlimited effort he put into organising the event .

If I had known that I wouldnt get a penny for high break then I wouldnt have bothered but you know what I did for the young lads who wanted to see snooker at its finest.and bit of exhibition.
Nav Hussain

Cheers nav, I can't help liking you. Your just a cool food. To chilled. I probably do try harder against you, but that's ultimate respect, cause your dangerous. Banter aside, I love playing with you all, but most of all I live playing lisp with my Mrs and daughter. We started playing for money and I just lost my prize money to both of them and they sent Me back put to work.
No rest for the wicked.
Bash
Wayne.m please retain your mustache as your playing better snooker with it, even though I was wondering what's Charlie Chaplin doing here. Also , its god for your Mrs as it adds to their pleasure when you kid them on the roundabout.
Thank you all for remaining honourable.

maqsood

Sorry, that word "lisp" was meant to read "ludo". Believe it or not, in Pakistan they have ludo competitions. There not hadicapped though .
Bash.

Hopefully Hopkin can buy himself a decent pair of trousers rather than turning out in his jim jams!  :D

Troy Brett

Im not too bothered about it to be honest dwayne, as i know why bash calls me Toby and not Troy, he fears me that much that he cannot bear to say my name...

maqsood

Sorry Mr brett, I got confused about your name because I been reading too much of Shakespeare of late:

"TO BE OR NOT TOBY, THAT IS THE QUESTION"

bash

I am sorry, even I got no idea about my ideas.
